General Discussion / Good Tablets?

Lately I have been having a serious problem that I can draw pretty well but I cant trace scanned pictures for crap. Then I went browsing tablets at best buy and found one for 66 bucks and I don't know if it is worth it. It has a 5" x 4" screen to draw but i don't know if it transfers into paint or another pixel based art program. Does anyone have any suggestions of a brand or specific tablet name that can positively use pixels? Also if you do know of a tablet that sounds right for what I am looking for please tell me the price and retailer.
Basically as the title says this is my first ever attempt at realistic anatomy. Please tear it apart with c&c so I can learn (I already know the hand looks really deformed 
) Please post links to any helpfull anatomy tutorials or good shading guides/tutorials.
This is a signature I started making for my friend but he said it really sucked. . . Can anyone help me out a bit. I think the body shape and proportions is quite off even though the person on the right is meant to be farther away. Can anyone offer any advice or a touched up example of how the body's should look. Please help I really want to get better.
