Looks pretty rad. reminds me of that game Metal Warriors.

Concerning the back legs and arms, et cetera; You shouldn't reduce the opacity or luminosity of all the colors systematically to make the leg or arm appear further from the viewer, instead, change the huge a little bit, maybe colder, like adding a little blue, sublty, and making it darker, with less contrast. Right now it looks like you pasted the same leg behind the robot's torso and reduced it's opacity in photoshop.

Perhaps google a reference, and make a slightly more dynamic pose. You'd never see link just standing around like this, holding his sword that way, shield up, smirking like a pervert.

for example: http://www.mario64.nl/toplink.gif

just an example.

I think the up/down motion of the torso is not subtle enough. In fact, you could probably do without it. There are also some frames where the cloth is in the same position as the previous frame, making it seem sort of choppy. If you're going to make an entirely new frame to move one piece of his costume, you might as well change the other parts slightly too, to make it look smooth.

Anyway, it looks really nice, and with a little polish it could be a very cool work.

If you're using Windows, you can use sound recorder to record the sound, you just have to change the input method from a microphone to your soundcard.

I play Cave Story (when i play it) with a gamepad as well, I can't find myself playing platformers on a keyboard very effectively. I beat R-Type 3 last weekend, (emulated, mind you, only save-stated at regular checkpoints, though. :P)  Seriously though, does _anyone_ play that game for score? Ridiculous.

Anyway, kinda bummed now that school is in session, taking 3 AP courses this semester alone. Have no idea how I am going to schedule work around the work, but I need to pay off my car. I'm also finding less time to finish a game I am working on, which is frustrating because this one is actually GOING somewhere, and I am interested in finishing it (this is a very rare thing.)

Oh yeah, something painful to watch

Whoa...wha-.. hmmmm...

I'm not sure the answer "Education in the United States should help South African countries so we will be able to build up our future" is an adequate response to the question: "Why do you think 5% of the American population cannot locate the U.S. on a map."

This is why other countries dislike the U.S.

The shading on the clothes seems a little bland and systematic. You could try huge shifting, or even give the clothes some sort of texture to make it look less saturated. The design and volume is pretty much dead on, the palette is really all i can see that needs improvement.

Miyazaki's seems to emphasize shadows more, he has a lot more areas of really dense lines creating contrast, but yes, the styles do seem similar in some respects. Nausicaa is amazing, i loved the movie as well.

I think he was talking about the arms swinging a little when they come down, rather than coming to a very unnatural dead halt.

Delicious, Junk.

In the first one, the rightmost building, it struck me weird with those windows integrated into a roof with shingles like that, i have trouble grasping how that would work, i guess they could be cut to fit, but i figured what kept them insulated was the fact that they overlap the way they do, and cutting them to make room for windows would sacrafice that... Perhaps they are just decoratice, perhaps i am thinking too hard.

In any case, allover great work. Make a graphic novel now please. =)
