I know when I played WoW I couldn't care less about the way the trees looked.

Pixel Art / Re: animation woes - walking base

There is something... off... about the animation. Instead of him walking in a nice balanced stride he walks at a heartbeat pace,  1-2, 1-2 ,1-2. Am I the only one seeing it this way?

You should check out C# and XNA games studio. C# is not that hard to learn, I am teaching myself the language right now without any snags or hangups. Remember to learn C# fully before you transfer to XNA games studio. It will be a little more work than Game Maker, but it will pay off a lot more in the long run. Game Maker has its fair share of disadvantages. Plus, it's also free for the full package.

So, the drummer from Decapitated died today. That makes me a very sad panda.

I was wondering if anyone could direct me to any nice articles, books, and/or tutorials on XNA games studio and/or C#. I know a few of you use it,  such as robotacon and maybe Jad but I'm not sure , and I just recently downloaded the program.

Thanks. But could you elaborate your critique a bit? How do mean he looks squashed?
Small edit, shading like this takes forever :)

The head looks vertically squished. The forehead is not big enough, the head looks a little blunt  :P

His helmet skull is also a little large, but I think that's a style choice because of how varied a Chaos Space marine's armor can be.

Here is an edit to show what I mean:

Looking good! My only gripe is that the helmet looks a bit squashed. I'm looking forward to the end result.

I've seen tons. Usually from the same schools though since most schools have regulations on hair length and such.
