This is the first sprite I've made completely from scratch on my own. This is also my first post here. Please let me know if I'm breaking any rules or not doing something correctly!

In terms of feedback, I was wondering mostly about shading/anti-aliasing. I tried to do a little of that here, but I'm not sure if it works well. See the hair, face, and backpack mostly.

Also, just looking at it from afar, it seems a bit plain or flat. My intention is to keep it simple, but what would you personally do to make it look more interesting?

Please let me know if there is anything else I should take a look at as well, such as general proportions or positioning of limbs, or w/e else you notice.
