I gotta say the cliff doesn't look like its dropping off away from the viewer so much. Maybe make it shorter or make the colors darker or something. At least make it get darker the closer to the water it gets; it looks kind of like a road to me.

Hmmm, good point, Junkboy, but I think I'll just make a new dude rather than overhaul this one. I need to be working higher res anyways. This guy is just addictive, though!

Ok enough. I should move on to bigger and better things (bigger especially.)

I think kobalds are supposed to have pointy rat faces. Also, I'm not so sure about the red in the shovel.

Love the colors. This is the kind of wild hue shift stuff I wish I could do.

Hmmm, I see what you mean about the feet. I was trying to exaggerate the force going into the initial swing. As for the punches, I think what you're saying about the hand not getting up after the punch was somewhat addressed in the third sprite of my last post. I was actually hoping for help on the walking animation's arms. I did a little work on a more natural, swinging motion:

I'm thinking I had the right idea making him walk with his arms up, ready to fight, but I need a better pose. If I go that way, I think his arms should "bounce" one frame behind him if that makes any sense. He actually looks better if you zoom in super close...

i think kores is an edit of shins.
Yes and know. I drew two versions of the same character. The one Kore posted was my first attempt, and the one I posted was my second more detailed draft. If you look closely at both, you can see the difference of shape between the two.
I'm confused, did he plagiarize you?

Super fast edit:

I think I made him look like a crab... hmmm, maybe you'd better stick with yours.

Sorry to double post, but I just finished a walk animation. I got very lazy on the legs. If you look closely, you'll see the first and second half are identical except I changed which leg is in front. Although it was just going to be a place holder, I think it might actually work. I got VERY lazy on the top half and just made the arms move side to side and the top bob. I need to fix it,but I'm not sure how...

EDIT AGAIN:

Made his punches a bit better. He's shooting from the shoulder now, so to speak. Looks a lot more powerful. Also took the highlight off his back leg. Not sure if its better that way or not. There's a few other minor changes in there.

Love the colors, but he lost his lankeyness. I also just realized I forgot to give him eyes!

EDIT:

Ok, I made this edit this morning but didn't think it was post worthy. I'm kind of stuck so I'll go ahead and show it. I caved and "de-lanked" him a bit and also desaturated his colors. The browns needs help and I'm thinking perhaps the skin's lightest tone does, too.

Souly, that's kind of similar to the original hair I had given him only mine was really ridiculous. Think Jimmy Neutron.
