I just want to say that it's a hame that such beautiful spriteset is butchered but ugly 2-frame running animation. Well, that 2 frames are, great, but without rest, like, six or eight, they looks ugly and unappropriate for supposably graceful heroine.

Probably we percieved Pawige's idea different. When I read his post I imagined lots of little people running around on platforms mostly by themselves, killing each other. And that's basically what we see on that swf, but with bigger people and no way to control them.

Okay, so I'm designing the game they're going to be used in now. Think of a cross between Worms, Unreal Tournament and Lemmings. Before the level starts you'd buy yourself an army of these guys. After it starts you could deploy whoever you need whenever you need them. You can set them to do simple tasks like Defend the Base, Attack the Enemy, Take the Flag. They could be sent in in groups or one at a time. You'd also be able to control one at a time directly with the keyboard, if you controlled a character from a group, everyone from that group would try to emulate what you do.

Is there a way to shape here without taking much from original clearness of lines?

Btw, she looks (in original) like she is lighted not from top left, but with extra strong light directly from the front.
