You should try sketching with a 2 pixel brush so 1 pixel wide insecurities like that face won't happen.

Oh dear.

Well for starters, the face still doesn't look like a tiger at all, the eyes and ears are too large, the nose is too small and it has no chin.
The body is still too round and the paws are not that dark.
That is something within the reference and if we stick to that, the back is very dark due to the clusterfuck of stripes and that... jewel... thing could use a fill so that it looks like something.

silver tiger

You're making it more complicated than it is.
There aren't that many stripes but those that are there follow an underlying structure.

Big cats -as you can see here- are also quite massive.
It helps to think of their body as a box rather than a tube to convey that.
What you have there looks like a housecat.
The fact that the paws are black and the mouth is tiny doesn't help conveying the tiger either.
When I saw this from afar I thought you wanted to draw a bobcat.

No the idea is that you do it.
And use this palette if you have problems limiting your colors:

General Discussion / Re: Wacom tablet for pixel art?
« on: August 12, 2014, 10:46:45 am »
I use my bamboo fun medium exclusively when pixeling in photoshop or graphics gale.
Not even touching the mouse, that just slows me down.

I used to have a small wacom graphire tablet before that one but tapping on it would sometimes not make a pixel, making it almost useless for precision pixeling but that was over a decade ago and I assume modern tablets have such kinks ironed out.

Also, if you do photo manipulation, a tablet will speed things up for you. A lot.

There is somewhat of a learning curve to tablets though, don't expect it to be like on paper.

Yes a bit more contrast would help.
You also have a ton of colors you don't really need.
Try to reduce them by recycling them so you have an easier time adjusting the contrast.

You use 27 colors which are pretty close to each other.
Recycling colors is key to keeping your palette small which makes recoloring easier and is generally less of a pain to work with.
I knocked it down to 9 colors and also considerably lowered the saturation.
Laser green isn't a nice color to look at so try to keep the saturation low and also vary the hue a bit between shades.
Shadows generally become colder while highlights become warmer.

As for the thing itself, deers are way bulkier than that, even female ones and they also have noses and mouths so try to look up some references there.

I know.

Drop whatever the 2 other expressions are supposed to be then, you only got 1.
Why display them if you're not yet willing to improve upon that aspect yet?

It looks like 3 times the same expression to me.

You need 1 more frame for a 4 frame runcycle with 2 frames of airtime and a bit more vertical movement.
