Update: New rock, made my water tiles and tweaked my sprite a tiny bit.

General Discussion / Resolution

Hi, I was just wondering what resolution is best to pixel at, or if it even matters. I've noticed the larger the resolution, the better things seem to blend and things are less conspicuous, but at lower resolutions, sometimes my work doesn't seem as good as it had when I was viewing it on a larger resolution.

I'm making an rpg for a game competition with another guy and decided to post my work so far here to see what could be improved. So far I've got my basic male sprite base and a grass tile, I'll most likely update regularly though.

I did an edit of the first sprite to show you what would look less goofy and better. The side view looks great then when he goes forward he looks like a crazy goof ball. Here:
