this looks pretty cool cant wait to see finished product :P

anyway the back leg looks alittle awkward i think because of its rigidity, it just kinda moves back, make the whole leg really extend and have the feet give a kinda "flick" like you did with the front legs and i think thatll fix it.

its a WIP so its kinda hard for me to make any judgement but overall this is very good!
the only real think that is putting me off is the large blocks of color such as in the background,buildings,and ground but as you said youll get to it, mabye a few more little detailed objects would give it that visual appeal i want went i look at this but nice job so far ;D

wow this is a HUGE improvment, everything looks alot better
i especially love the blood spatter  ;)
i think however the transition from the ground to grass could be improved, make it fade more from grass to dirt instead of the bloches of each
cant wait to see the updated monster , nice job :y:

this tree has quite a few problems but its a try which is a good start
some notes on how to improve it...
-less trunk more tree, thin down the trunk and give it longer and skinnier branches not just stumps
-waaay more foliage Mush's example is a perfect trunk to foliage ratio
-figure out where your light is coming from cause the bottom left is alittle impossible
-get the tree shape down before you try to mess with the shading and texture

i hope this helps at all and you can improve your tree that looks like it should go outside a doll house

alright well gif animating thingy isnt working so heres my tile sheet the second row is the walking animation, it looks ok but needs some work and im not sure whats wrong with it, the legs look alitte awkward

i really liked how you did the eyes, its simple but looks pretty good and is better than big white spots on his head :lol:.
I tried to take everything into account that you noticed without stealing much, larger contrast everywhere to really make him pop and i really like it so far so thank you.

im likin how he looks so im gonna start animating and post here, comment if you see any other problems.

these are very nice and you are doing an awesome job :y:
however a few things i thnk could use some improvment are

-The moogles head comes down to a point giving him a very feline look, i think rounding out is head and shortening his ears will make him that much more perfect.
-The man with black tied back hair has some strange shadows that make him less look stressed or sinister and more like he is spitting or sucking on a lollipop. ;D
-And finally i think the blond haired jungle man has a tad small face for his head and body,mabye space his features out allittle or make them larger if possible.

hope my opninions help at all,  you are very talented! keep at it  :D

Hi guys
So I started going through some ideas i have been thinking about and came out with a 2D Adventure/life sim. i wanna have stats and everyday parts of life with some sort of a twist~mabye a phsycological dream kinda thing or gameplay based on teleportation through time etc, something weird and wonderful.
but first i need something down to earth so heres some of my first game sprites, the template and a character ;D..


These are both hand drawn in paint with some past experience and guess and check just soyou know

i want any feedback you have before i start animating and continuing to add characters, anything you think looks strange or awkward let me know and ill try and update tomarrow, thx guys

the general shape of the tree and its foliage is very nice but you need to put the little details that make a tree a tree. for the foliage dont just throw a big foliage chunk on top of the trunk, intertwine the trunk with the foliage, make them seem like the same thing not just one part slapped on another. Put parts of the branches sticking out of the foliage and design the trunk and branches to reflect there surrounding(shade branches in the foliage etc).
Hope this helps at all just keep following the guides and im sure you will have an amazing looking tree :D
