Pixel Art / Re: Bleu

Adjustment of palette and some other conversions of shape in terms of outline and such. I promise my next post will be all original... didn't realize I was going to be flamed.

I think you'll quickly find that artists, like most people, hate to have their art stolen or ripped without permission, and are consequentially (and reasonably) provoked when they discover unoriginal art to be claimed original (besides complete rips, this includes minor recolors and/or edits to existing work without giving due credit.)  Just be sure to cite the sources for your edits in the future if you're going to post them online (given that you have explicit/implicit permission from the author to publish your edits,) and you won't see such reactions  ;)
He did straight out say who it was and from what game, although it was implied he made the sprite.

I completely remade the tile(besides most of the outline, following a lot of the things I did through my iterations.

EDIT: Ignore the transparent pixels, I'll get rid of them when I load them into my game. :P

Oh my gosh that is awesome! It will be great to see this when it is scrolling, when you're ready. Since it's WIP, not really much to say that I think you won't take care of in your next iterations.

In your last edit, he doesn't look like a scientist to me. Ambivorous created very good edit of your character head, and you should learn from it, not "run away" in the opposite direction.
There is a very good reason for that, but the shortest version is it wouldn't fit the character to look/be nerdy. :P

Took me a while to find the time, but I remade the tile almost completely, hopefully it looks better!

Just a quick edit to show you don't need a thousand colours to give him shape. Sprites are just so much easier to handle with fewer colours and faster to draw.
Thank you very much.   :) It's a weird thing I do. I really like your edit, serves the purpose a lot better.
EDIT:I played with Ambivorous's edit, and am now wondering why I didn't always use a palette in the first place.

Pixel Art / Re: Pokemon-Trainer Backsprite [WIP]

This is critique for the frontsprite. The backsprite is perfect. I would say the problem would be the pose, but there is a few little things that contribute. Mostly the variations in detail(His right hand looks amazing, btw) plus it not using the dither/pillow shading that was in most of the pokemon games makes it seem to not fit with the other sprite. Besides that I don't really know what to say. :p
Pokemon Front sheet for reference:

EDIT: Removed some of the stupid stuff I tend to say.

Posting my 'pixel story' would be like posting a short Bio. D:

anyways, I made games as i improved.  Some have been reworked, but most have their original tiles.
Some are also not finished.
THE THINGS Experimental purely.  Very start of pixeling.
Petland A cheap clone I made, shortly after my first game.
City Just starting to get better.  Some sprites have been changed, but i never got to finishing.
Village Another experimental game, slighty reworked.

This is when I started getting seriously into pixeling.

Fatality Pieced together for a competition, I never linked the titlescreen to the game. D:
Left 4 Dead 3 Another competition piece, I only finished the titlescreen.
Kron Adventure Most up to date art I can post right now.
Not finished and some stuff is place-holder tiles.

It seems I started a lot worse then most of you did, and I'm still not as good as many of you. :/
Hope you enjoyed looking at my work.

By the way:  At the moment, I have had less then a year of pixel experience.

There's no actual nudity.
