Sign me up as well :o Yay, 1st time signing up for the Secret Santa.

Things I like: I like that big ass green statue up in New York... what's it called?
and and the huge crack in the Earf.. I think it's in Arizona.. or somewhere out there in the desert.
And the Great Wall of Taiwan too..
 I like those thangs.
jk  :blind:

I will leave a couple semi vague #TAGS? and mention what I like about the medium; the holy medium we all know, with a dropped hint or 2 of what I dislike:

If you made me something that could somehow fit into the category of:
#space-goth and or #dark-faerie yet avoid making it too cutesy or goofy-
I'd be a happy boy on Christmas...
and lord knows, I've been a very good boy.

Things I seriously like in pixel art:
interesting and overly effective palettes & stark contrast/ super crisp lines or clusters
(kind of the opposite of blurry or smudgy digital paintings in general).
Key word crisp! Thanks fellows

Pixel Art / Re: Graphic for T-Shirt
« on: November 18, 2016, 06:19:44 am »
I think you should simplify it or move the sprites away from the title. I don't like the lower enemy sprite cause I don't know what it is. (whatever the thing getting the axe wung at is). Also, a shirt needs to be legible; you don't want passers by squinting at the the title or the sprites wondering what they are. They need to be easily absorbed. The UFO mage could be improved too... I do like the archer sprite though.

The title's main problem is: the sprites are enclosing in on it making it look cluttered; I propose removing half of the sprites. Also the title needs to dominate the field. All those stray pixels and lines make it appear weak and obfuscated.. especially the lighter green stripes.. it just registers as noise or static. Those slashes need to go too!
This isn't the best font but I made a super quick edit just to show a more readable layout with more dominant text:

Also the rotated pixels may work on the axe and arrow, but the image all-together might look more cohesive if they are not rotated... I don't think that's too big of a deal though.

Job offers / Re: [PAID] 32x16 Animations for LED Handbag Project
« on: November 12, 2016, 06:32:02 pm »
 :o Those handbags are sweet!
I'd be down to do it; I have some ideas.

- moonlit clouds at night
-silhouette of a black cat running with different colored backgrounds that scroll.
-dripping various colors of paint
-witch on a broomstick flying
-a dog running (it'd have to be maybe a white silhouette style on a black or dark colored backdrop, similar to the cat running)
-maybe an old school Rpg top-down spite walking
-a side view bat flying
and I'm sure I could come up with more...

Send me a PM if you're interested

General Discussion / Re: NEW CLUSTER STUDY THREAD!
« on: November 01, 2016, 04:29:40 am »
I know it's an old thread; but I really wanted to try this exercise again.
I used a very incompatible image as a reference/inspiration (lots of thin lines and curves; not a very cluster friendly original image).

I strayed a little bit from the original purposefully in some sections but tried to keep the composition close to the same.

Big thanks to Kasumi for helping me seek and destroy 19 single pixels I missed.

The original image by Sci-fi master Frank Kelly Freas can be found here: https://s-media-cache-ak0.pinimg.com/originals/19/87/eb/1987eb92144a86738aa253abf788acf9.jpg On the actual book cover the face is much more blue-tinted also.

(edited: one elusive loner walked the wrong street and got killed)
