Devlogs & Projects / Re: New Amiga game
« on: August 03, 2019, 10:09:44 am »
@yrizoud:
In AMOS you can grab the gfx you need from normal images when the program starts (create gfx banks on the fly). I only ever used fixed banks in the final compiled version of smaller programs. In my bigger projects like BabeAnoid all graphics are still grabbed from loaded images when the program boots.

@Zoulz: Good luck with your project. And yeah, it will be interesting to see what happens with Francois' AMOS 2! :)

Regarding spam: why don't you block posts where the title is an URL? A large chunk of the spam has a link for the title (and virtually no normal posts does that).

Interesting work. May I ask what's the basic algorithm you've used for the landscape creation?

Try to maintain some consistency in the saturation levels. The two darkest blues are a bit too colorful compared to the rest of the palette, making he pants look like they don't quite fit in the scene.

Well, there is some basic info here: http://goto.glocalnet.net/axe/dtb12/#pal_alz_analyze_img

Note the white dot on the small palette, it indicates a duplicate color.

There's a much improved version of the script (and Toolbox) that isn't officially released yet...this is what it produces for your palette:

GrafX2:

If you only need to update/replace one or a few colors then do it by hand with the "Replace col"-tool (right-click floodfill)

Basic remapping is done with the "Copy to other page" tool (right-click page button) and select "Palette and remap". It will copy the current palette to the spare-page and redraw the graphics.
If you just want to copy a palette without remapping, use the "Palette only" option.
