Kinda want to see Ptoing get banned, it'd be humorous.

Yes.

I like ugly or weird animals (amphibians, mollusks (especially nautiluses and octopuses), hyenas), mechanical engineering related stuff, and ladies. Yeap. Right now I've also got an interest in David Cronenberg's work and Futurism :-*
I don't really like lo-fi things or cute things (with the exception of humans).

Those pixels are awesome, for a simple test could you please show me any avatar (people) pixels if you could? I have a very good reason why I am asking this, please reply soon, thank you. PM me for any details or questions.
... Uhh...  :-\
You should probably PM this stuff instead of posting it, Shadnire, and be less cryptic about it. Soliciting in the pixel art section is kind of odd.

It looks like you desaturated everything; a trick to good color usage is to have a mixture of saturations, with more important things more saturated. You could easily make the yellow and blue on the character the same saturation on the character as your previous mockups while leaving the rest of the mockup at the levels you have right now.

Also, if you outline important objects, it'd be wise to add outlines to walkable terrain. You could make them just dark outlines instead of pure black if you want the character and item's to pop out more, but it looks inconsistent with no outlines at all.

Editification???:

I don't think there's much left to do besides the addition of color, CodeCriminal. :P
I prefer the left version, personally. The torso's silhouette was also closer in the original picture, hourglass shape is obscured by pretty small rotations.

I made an edit, but it was more therapeutic doodling for me than to illustrate any form of point. It's worth noting that the pelvic bone, and thus most women's hips jut out at slightly higher point, but there's a lot of variety (especially in huskier ladies ;)).  Both arms appear to be too long; wrist is at about the same level as the pubis  with good posture. The forearm of her right (our left) arm is too short compared to the upper arm in my edit... They should be about the same length if I'm not mistaken, and some of the upper arm's length is hidden by our shoulder.

Hi!
Time for an edit of an edit.

I think NaCl was right on most of his edit. The cheek bones were definitely an improvement; when you make them too dark it makes them look like deep indents, like you didn't eat enough or did too many drugs and your cheeks caved in.
The eyes in his have lots of dark areas your original is missing, but he also sacrificed all the light spots  :'( requires balance! Besides that, my main issue was with the areas around the bridge of the nose. Outlining it in a dark area ain't good because around the middle portion it has a smoother connection to the face, breaking the 'outline' caused by the very top of the bridge and the tip of the nose.

Aquaria was made by a Pixelation old-timer Dusty, you have to play it.
Hmm, was it? Who was it made by?
Derek Yu.

Thanks for the post Helm. I think buying in to consumerism and becoming docile for it is a common problem in any nation with a high enough standard of living to afford electronics. The only time I remember anyone actually caring about something in the US on a national level was the 2008 elections, which set up unreachable standards for the new Cabinet.

In other news, Frank Frazetta died today... :(

Gil needs another L in his name, then no one can disagree with him. Or it'll just make him cooler, like me. Which is the same as being infallible. :P

Helm: I detect... FEELINGS about this situation in your posts (which I guess makes sense, since it's where you live and all), so I'm a little surprised you aren't motivated to say more about it.
