Well I was thinking about contacting the author of the game as me and him have spoken on MSN several times before.

the atmoshpere is really weird, it has a very very oldschool feeling to the gameplay, I feel like it's an Atari-era game logic applied to GBA technology, a really rare curiosity of a game.

It's a conversion of his old Acorn/BBC game which he also produced a version for the Amiga (which the GBA version closely resembles) which was published by Team 17 (company more famous for Worms these days).  I spoke to him a while back about it as the Amiga game is one of my favorite 2 player games of all time and my favorite single screen platformer game.  I vastly prefer it to the more famous Bubble Bobble.

I'd buy it but my GBA SP was stolen a couple years back and have no intention of getting a new GBA or a DS.  Might see if I can least buy to use a rom of it to support it as I'm still a fan of the game.

Beautiful.

But what is that third item?

Was sat in waterstones bookstore today and flicked through this.  Pretty, not much I'm actually interested in reading as it all seemed for someone new to pixel art and mobile game art.  One thing though, the copy I was reading through had some slight printing errors on some pages where the text looked like it had been printed twice and offset a bit so looked a bit blurry to my tired old eyes.  Might have been just from a bad batch.

Darn... seemed to just get really slow when I used a more transparent brush.. I managed one piece but its a bit too crap to show.  Might have another go later.

Never was very good at painting...

What's it like going from MS Paint to Pro Motion?  I spent years using Deluxe Paint so switching to PM was barely a change at all really.  Must be nice using a program with built in animation functions now from one that didn't though huh?

I remember that Gameboy game.  Was said to be a sorta version of one of my favorite NES games Blue Shadow (Shadow of the Ninja outside of Europe I think) rather than originally a true Ninja Gaiden game.

You've made some good improvements to everything.

Looking forward to the demo

I'm posting this from my Wii, it's great to lie on the couch and browse pixelation :D

Bleh,  been able to do that for ages.  Have a cable running from the PC to the big TV, and have a Dual Shock pad doing mouse functions and a keyboard extension lead.  Mainly got the TV cable to play emulated stuff on big screen :)

It's so cold here.. and I haven't even seen sight on one tny snow flake.. just chilling wind..  :(

I got chips the other night and on the way home from the chippy I found the can of coke I bought there and had been carrying in my hand had sorta got stuck to the skin of my palm and fingers.  Had to run hot water over my hand and the can to seperate them easier then put the can in the fridge to cool it again.

I still prefer the winter to summer though

It's happened to me several times.  It's not so much that the actual stealing that pisses me off as much as me getting accused of stealing the piece by people who saw the thief's 'version' first.
