Isn't it like that with Pro Motion you can use it right after installation and for the GraphicsGale you need plugin? I've searched it in GraphicsGale's help and didn't find any topics about remapping (if that's how its called :P).

Nope, you've got it backwards. To remap in GraphicsGale, hold Alt while dragging a palette entry. It'll move the color in the palette without screwing up the sprite.

GraphicsGale can. Actually, in Pro Motion you have to use a plugin to remap colors in a palette by hand, whereas GraphicsGale can do it right out of the box.

Full version of GraphicsGale = $16 USD. Full version of Pro Motion = $70 USD.

Clean it up. Lots of sloppy pixels everywhere, the hair being the biggest culprit. I'd also nix the skin shades in the shirt, not looking very attractive to me.

WIP. Been in an Amiga-ish mood lately.

WIP2. Decided against the freakishly large head.

WIP3. Rendered her chainsaw.

While he's at it, I'd also like to know if Game Gear used a stretched (multiples of 17) or non stretched (multiples of 16) based palette, or something completely different.

For extra credit, which is worth nothing, pick your 32 colors from a palette of 4,4,4.  This means each of the RGB values is between 0 and 15, instead of 0 and 255!  Good luck!

Um, so I guess this means the red, green, and blue color channels are each 4 bit, yes? And by 0-15, you mean the 16 possible 4 bit values, not the actual RBG values? I'm pretty sure that's what you meant, or else we're gonna get some super dark mockups.

A quick setup in Pro Motion tells me these are the literal RBG color values allowed:

0, 16, 32, 48, 64, 80, 96, 112, 128, 144, 160, 176, 192, 208, 224, 240

I started with GraphicsGale and moved on to Pro Motion. Both programs are exactly what you're looking for. There's a freeware vesion of GG but you'll need to buy a copy to save as GIFs.

Remember how, pretty much, nobody ever has long winded discussions about 300 anymore?

Hype.  ;)

Right now this is too sloppily executed to have much aesthetic value, for me at least. Make it about half as small and put some genuine effort into the shading and dithering, and it'll be something. There's just too much bucket fill scribbley stuff everywhere to take it seriously.
