Setz, you're so right.

Tremulant, just spill some colors for the sky so we can understand it  :P
1 more thing: Its a bit hard to see what the eyes are to, maybe some dark shadow under it will help?
Also, whats that small round thing under his hear?
Makes you think that's the ear, and the actual ear is its eye, dunno what the eye will be then... lol

Your update was amazing btw, this is really taking shape!

I think there is to much 'open space'
Even on the lizard/dragon itself, maybe a brighter tint? Or you could go for some dragon texture... Mnah I think a brither tint would be the best thing to do :).
Maybe make some rocks in the sand? some rock-texture on the mountain behind him.
Also, I think his tail is to dark, maybe some of the lighter tones on top? even though its all in the dark, there is a lightsource in its back= the lava blub.

If you do all that, I think its very close to completion. :)

Edit: took the liberty to edit your work, I hope that's ok?

Used a brighter tint from your lava for the body.
Made a small rock.
And removed one color from your pallete, (the darkest sand color was almost the same as the rock color)

Elena's probably the best example out of all of them - the sort of space that's used in her animation would look really beautiful on a number of your sprites, especially the capoeira fighters or drunky:
That's not totally true, the artwork is great, and so is the animation.
But, it isn't capoeira, with capoeira you do the same motion, but you move your feet more backwards, even behind your other foot.

Runescape? Did someone post this forum's address in the runescape forums? We're getting tons of "sig makers" lately.

The more the merrier! Welcome!  ;D

You might want to up the saturation a bit. Try working with someone else's vivid palette, try examining the C64 palette. Try seeing how far you can push saturation and still make it pleasing.

You might want to incorporate some hue variance too.

Nope, but it has been mentioned on other big forums, and it spreads from friend to friend.  ;)

Hé hedgehog, its good, its just not finished.
A piece is finished when you reached perfection on some way, keep working on it and you will succeed!

Pixel Art / [WIP] Man's face
« on: February 14, 2007, 01:56:37 pm »
Hi guys!
Been ages since I pixeled anything.
I wanted to make something again so here it is:

And the refference:

7 colors for the one on the right.
I'm having alot of difficulty's with the skin where there isn't much happening (forehead & cheeks).
And the eyes are bothering me.
If I think about it everything in this piece can be better, but hey, its still a wip.

CC and edits are much appreciated.
