Pixel Art / Re: P90&Sprite [Warning: LEGS]

It's also great help to find reference pictures to help you work with. For example, it might be a great idea to get on Google images and search for P90 pictures, and you'd probably find some pictures of actual marines and infantry using them. That way you can learn from the images things like how people hold P90's and the way they stand when ready to fire, etc.

Yeah, I also noticed the KF inspiration. Very cute :) I downloaded that Clickbeat game just for this, so when you complete it please post it!

I think what makes the hat look bad when he's in motion is that you've got a black outline pretty much ALL around him, then green AA for the hat in the outline, and the pixel switches sides and it's very noticeable and distracting. So you are watching the pixels jump from side on the hat while he walks. Otherwise, very cool and very cute animation.

I'm no anatomy expert but I can tell you I think the piece does show a fair bit of dynamic kind of movement. I would only say that the red football player is rather straightened out in the body unintentionally. Either he must be absolutely stretched in his mid-jump-roll kind of thing, or he should be more hunched over in the torso .. I think.

Otherwise, good work, I'd like to see you do more work on it but of course anatomy should be fixed earlier rather than later. Helm should be able to shed some light on it.

Sorry I didn't make enough sense. I've circled it in a picture for you.

The 2x4 block of pixels for example, tend to stick out a little to me. I know this is a quite different style of pixel art to what I'm used to, but this part seems to bug me a little. As a comparison, the right cheek is also very geometrical, but it appears as a much smoother highlight, but the shadow below it isn't very smooth at all.

I will take part in the next one that comes around. I'd love to stick it on my desktop when you guys complete it!

I made one, it's quite terrible though. Doing portraits are really not my strong point. Some later day when I'm good enough, I'll re-do this.. but for now, this is as good as I can do. :P

I like the sharp sort of highlighting you're doing with this, it's very interesting. While the jaw/mouth seems to be the most complete part of the piece so far, I would probably just say while the geometric/sharp shading looks good, some parts aren't quite smoothed out enough like the sunken in part under his cheek bone, compared to his actual cheek which is sharp but at the same time smooth and fluid. Probably should let you do more work on this before I can give much useful critique.

He is a very cool character. :)

I'm not going to bash the simplistic style, but I will say that I wish there were more to it.
I made an edit, and I hope you don't mind, but I upped the number of colors a bit. There are two sprites; the first sprite, I've changed the feet a little. (As that's what you really want, right?) The second sprite is my own. Good luck.

Haha, he's so cute!
