I think the bottom of the nose should be outlined.

I'll let someone else comment on the shading, but I'll mention that the anti-aliasing shouldn't be grey. I made a quick edit:

I think the acne should be a bit pinker and the black mouth line should be thinner.

I had a go at blurring the wand motion:

I also had an attempt at doing Hagrid (32x32 sprites make it a lot easier to see how much of an amateur I am

I reworked the wand animation a little and added another frame:

I worked on the wand movement a bit to make it less like a pick-axe. I tried making the wand smaller as well, I haven't decided whether I prefer it yet.

My first attempt at pixel art. I'm not too happy with his body when he is holding out his wand.
