Pixel Art / Re: #1 : Angry Nerd + edit : A girl
« on: May 30, 2007, 10:03:30 am »
i really appreciate that you folks take time to edit my stuff.
You are right, the nerd looks really better now. I will try to improve it, but i'm quite busy right now.

For the girl, i'm not that sure with the little grey pixels on the face. I tried to dither too but it looked weird.
I think i can do something, but i will have to search more.
I did another one in the same style, i will try to post it as soon as i can.

i'm in pixel stuff for about 5 years and i just discovered today PROMOTION. amazing. the amount of time you can gain with that tool, but i realized that is was kind of cheating... i understand now how people make amzing things with these kind of tools, i always thought that they made it always pixel by pixel. a little bit disappointed but hey. made this in about half an hour playing with different tools to see what i could do with this program, it would have taken hours on mspaint...

but is this still really pixel art? using auto anti aliasing, darken/brighten tools and all that... i'm still wondering. keep it real?

well that is going to be hard to explain.
But on the jumping animation, when the characters comes down on ground, he flexes the knee, but on your animation it seems that it opens it, and does not make it like normal leg and aaaahhh bullsh*t i'm too drunk to explain. i tried my best.
