General Discussion / Re: THE KEEN MINDS OF PIXELATION NEEDED

Indigo is right, it is just anti-aliasing. This is what happens when people blindly recite arbitrary rules (such is the anti-45-aa) without holistic consideration, it leads to people being confused like this. What also leads to confusion is the mixing up of definitions; so called "sub-pixelling" is antialiasing. And so is "weight due to value". They're all one and the same. If ever a special reference topic was needed, it would be one which cleared up people's misconceptions of those kind of terms.

If you're so worried, you could sketch with invisible ink under a UV lamp. Hehe :p

I think the reason she looks like she's power-walking/skating is because the legs are spending most of their time push along the ground, when usually in running cycles they probably should spend more time "swooping" back to the front.

I originally started this edit just to add some aa and change certain highlights, but I ended up changing it more than I'd expected, sorry:

just a few things:
- Eyes may be white but they still receive shadows.
- the biggest lighting error I saw was the bottom right part of the (our) left eye cavity area which I think should be lit.
- Antialiasing. On a piece of this size, a pixel is the equivalent size of a small pea (about 4mm); certain parts, like the pupils, may need to be adjusted by less than that distance otherwise they'll look like they are a few mm in the wrong place. (I'm sure you know this, I'm just saying this for others).
- a few anatomy changes
I hope the edit is useful, and sorry if I went overboard. :-[

Faktablad, I disagree with the shadow below the brow; if anything the surface there is facing almost perpendicular to the light and would be quite well lit.
