I'm making this fighter sprite, It's a WIP, but some comments would be appreciated as always :)

My anatomy is kinda bad even after taking an art class, so bare with me->

This isn't bad, but it's lacking some shapes and contours of the original and some things are too boxy, like the eyes and the piece of his shirt going over his shoulder

For an idle animation,
1. either have her standing there and the wind blowing over freathures like hair/clothes,
2. standard tactics rpg/FF tactics/makai kingdom style 'pacing in place'
3. moving only a few frames back and forth in some minor way, I.e: a mage holding a cane and shifting his weight from left foot to right foot looking antsy, or a theif shifting its arms up and down a tiny bit holding a knive straight out in a figurative pose.

example:
Some Phantom brave chick-

Yeah...hmmm...guess I'll try again later. Comparing him to other sprites like castlevania, he is a bit midgety imo.... :-\

At first I was like "Damn, that's an impressive mullet!", then I noticed it was his cape. Anyway, I'd suggest giving him more realistic proportions, like a smaller head, longer limbs, etc. I also think that some color variations would help the character a lot.

Well I can't really make his limbs long without changing his resolution...I guess I could redraw him from scratch using this as a base

That second animation is very weird, I don't know no ANYONE that does that when they're idle...Looks like she's getting ready to take a dump honestly :)

Very nice!  ;D

I think I'd be funny if you had her jumping like that with a cat on her head flailing around :)

I've taken the liberty of adjusting some perspective problems in terms of 1(96)/2(48) perspective tiles:

It still looks like the arms are a tad off, the right one needs moved up and down a tiny bot, the left one shifted to the right one pixel

I'm not sure of the easiest way to check angles, but I think if you made a criss-cross line in the exact middle and ghosted it several times straight up until you reached the height of the character that'd be a good way:

The colored version is better and could be just as scary, try adding some cracks and falling apart stucco from the walls, maybe some cob-webs...Make the floor boards falling apart/in disarray.
It's just too 'clean' right now, make it look dirty/messy as a style.

I don't know about the woman's arms, they're just too long.

The pig is spot on and I don't think you could possibly improve it any further.

The jar on top of the paino just looks really cool
