hat aside, this is pretty rad. What is it for? Will it, in addition to looking cool, have a functionality?

you could use the work as a reading-light , or as a non-so-good radiator, you can also use the part of the work as a table-top !
You could even go as far as to show NASDAQ information of both the screens instead of the flat , and make your first billion with it ;)

Other than that it's a pretty useless piece of material.

Pixel Art / procedurally generated work + art-installation
« on: June 04, 2010, 10:55:35 am »
I've got a post in the low-spec corner, but this is actually pixel-by pixel work.
I'm very curious how the pro-pixellers over here see this:

video of front building
video of back building

and this is the real-life version of the otherwise virtual world...  :)

bye!

I love those hats , and the moustaches too!

especially the gentlemans hat, (its also the easiest to generate i guess)
the gentlemens moustache is good too, with the openin in the middle , where the nose is.

the two guys at the bottom look  like real wife-beaters to me..  like bad cops or something. Great !

the pirate one and the irish? one are nice, but the would be pretty complex to generate, the upperleft one would become hard to generate too, but it's definitely worth a shot.

great.

@ Pawige

At this point it''s not a friendly experience to use the program. You'd be  mudding in the code to change the seeds. Since the source is pretty messy and long, you'd have to be me to know what to do with the code... , later i will be releasing so you would have to wait a little :y:

@ moustache lovers on this board.
It's pretty hilarious that the moustache feature is so important to you all... , please grab the image , and show me how hairy/tall/big you  like the moustaches to be!

mustaches are already there

some of the men have a line (the same color as their head-hair) just above their mouth....
that are moustaches.

I wouldn't dare make procedural people and forget about the moustache. It's a cultural thing !

the guy in the pink shirt in the upperleft corner for example

Hello people from the pixelation world.

I would like to show an image i made,  don't know if it's pixelart or low-spec art by your rules.
The image is created by a program I wrote.
The program makes little people .

wait i'll show you :

I am working on other programs also, all thes programs together will become :
the most awesome  pixelated people animation & simulation tool, with development tools in wich you make buildings, objects and more  !.

this is what my current terrain looks like :

demo

I gotta run, but i'll comne back :)
