Ok, I'll work on getting a more unanimous light source. And yeah I probably wouldn't have weapons quite that big.

I already tried moving the head down after someone mentioned something about the perspective, i don't know how much more I can move it.

I'll look into the coloring too. Thanks for the tips.

So other than the arms does the body seem to look alright?
I know the legs are significantly scrawnier, it's the look I'm going for, a stylistic choice if you will.

Tried touching up a few more places, and moving the legs around a bit to look less awkward. Worked on an idle animation. In turn bulked the legs up a bit more as well

Ignore the axe, I just grabbed a quick one from an image online to make the example look better.

So, now that I decided not to go with a generic looking pose, I went with a more lively one and I don't know if it looks quite like I want. So any advice or quick edits would be appreciated.

It's supposed to look like he's kinda leaned forward holding a 2 handed weapon

why would you want to change the whole stance if it's just a change in directions? that's like making mario pose when he's facing left, and ready for action when he's facing right.

Only thing I can think of is maybe make the neck show a bit more in the north facing stance since you can see his back

umm, well I think I could possibly add more frames, it would make the programming more tedious. My main reason is i'm very lazy when it comes to animating pixel art lol.

I see what you mean about the shoulder, i'll work on that. as for the jeweleater boss, it doesn't really seem to have much of a paw swipe animation. it looks like a jump and a lick lol.

The player sprites are about the size of fenrir's head. and the game has more of a darker atmosphere.

fenrir

(don't have the attack animation yet)

It has to be limited to 2 frames for all animations. Suggestions for improvement on the animations is what i'm looking for but critique on the pixel art itself would be fine too.

The middle of the sword looks broken and the two little tufts of hair that stick up in the back are too thick, makes it look like a bun almost.

I like the body of it though, nice job =)

color count isn't a worry of mine for this.

and shouldn't the outlines be noticeable if i'm going for a cartoonish style?

I changed all the outlines to darker colors of the objects to try and make them less noticeable yet still kinda cartoonish. And i turned the helmet angle a bit, I think it lines up better now. also tried to fix the outline of the helmet for the AA problems. aaand clearly i added a body (no arms yet)

Trying to get down one style before I start the work on his body. I'm aiming for a cartoonish, goofy kind of knight. Not a super realistic thing. That's why i'm having a hard time deciding whether to use any dithering at all or just stick to smooth shading.

version 2, changes from my own opinions:

EDIT 1:

C&C please?

Thanks in advance!
