Aint gonna lie, I thought you were a bit younger when I saw this lol... :o

Hmmmm your character is cute and simple, I like that.

Maybe work on drawing basics before you begin a comic. I did a couple of comics a good few years ago and it's not easy. Like, at all. You need to be confidant of your artistic abilities before you go into making panels and panels of artwork. Write a plot, proofread it and send it around for some crit, then storyboard it in some rough thumbnails.

Maybe make some refined character turnarounds (here's an example of a good one: and some character profile sheets to refine your artwork there first.
Be prepared to sacrifice a lot of time and dedication to this if you're serious about working on it.

Count me in! I haven't done this in years :D

I like cute stuff! Cute girls, and sweet lolita fashion! I also like Adventure Time, Panty & Stocking and survival horror games.

Oh and awesome mecha is cool too. Heck, I'm not picky, I just like good pixel art...
My PJ is here:

Well, first I'd just like to say that you miiiiiiiiight wanna get rid of that seam over his crotch. :P

A good rule to keep in mind for a guy is to downplay his legs and hips as mush as possible. I'd move the orange things to wrap around him somehow to keep it from making him look stocky. It might be good to define the muscle sections a bit more; don't make his arms any bigger, just put in some sharper lines. Lastly consider making the shoulder pads a bit bigger, give him some more of a neck, and build up his traps.

Maybe a sider stance could help too. Here's a nasty edit since I'm not the best at explaining things:

I really like the helmet! that thing looks so awesome. :crazy:

Oh haha...I never noticed the crotch seam could be mistaken...I feel embarrassed now...;;

And I really like what you did to his arms and legs. Thank you! That looks much better now!

If it helps, here is the original model:
Maybe I used the reference too much and didn't think about the image to pixel transition so much as I should have...

Oh and Deidara I never thought of Dead Space outfit actually! You're right that it isn't one of the bulkier armour...thanks for the inspiration!

And thank you Tourist, you're right that the shape is quite feminine, whereas I don't mind the design would be more feminine than masculine... Mecha designers like Yoji Shinkawa, I really admire because their work has a more feminine aesthetic but still looks very powerful and sexy... I was aiming for something like that with this but I guess I should be trying to design my own armour instead of attempting a fanart this way.
For me as a female, it is difficult to draw something very manly especially since I usually draw very curvaceous girls, so your points will help me greatly! I'll definetly edit the legs with yours and kcilc's critique in mind and improve the proportions...

Thank you so much :)

Futuristic masculiney-type armour has always been my weakness...
I'm hoping to improve this...he looks kinda puny and I want him to look more badass without looking bulky... (_)

Con crit are greatly appreciated...I need to learn how to do this!

Thank youuu ♥ :3

Give him pimpin' shades and a cane! :hehe:

Seriously though, I feel originality of a character should come from the creator. Otherwise it isn't original, right? I'm sure you can think of some cool gear to make him less generic!

Right now I feel his skin tone is far too yellow and his nipples are too center, his pecs are too round so they look like boobies instead _;

Also his feet are facing two different directions and one leg is a completely different shape to the other...Maybe fix his pose up to be a bit more natural first before you start changing his outfit? Also is there a need for his hair to be the same colour as his jeans? It just looks a bit my opinion anyway...

Nice job on the muscles so far though!

When someone's walking, their height should differ sliiighty depending on their feet position. I think if you made his head move up and down in the walk animation it would look a bit less stiff...

Also what was behind the colour restriction choices? The grey shade doesn't compliment the hair at all and won't work for shading it unless you use a duller, lighter red...I'm curious about the cyan colour too...@_@ Maybe try a different darker shade, like your background purple colour instead of the mid-tone grey?

Yeahh you're definetly moving in the right direction now :D!

Oh the boobs might need a little adjustment too, just something that caught my eye~ they look like she's standing completely straight. She's leaning a little bit so in reality so one would be a bit higher up than the other to match the curve of her torso. (The one on our right should be a notch higher...)
