Pixel Art / Re: Mockup Feedback
« on: March 09, 2018, 05:47:14 pm »
Thanks so much for all the feedback! I really appreciate it. Here is an edit with what I've learned.

How else can the color be improved?
How about the UI?
Also, is the 'camera' a little low or just right?
The idea for this mockup is an action platformer type with puzzles and combat. How can I best communicate that?

Pixel Art / Mockup Feedback
« on: December 13, 2017, 01:52:23 am »
Hi All. This is my first post seeking critique on this forum. I'm looking to really improve my pixeling skills, and I think sharing my work for constructive feedback is one way to do so.
Here is a game mockup I worked on over a month ago.
I like to let things marinate for a while, before I look back at them to see how I can improve on the ideas I was working on.
What improvements can I make to this?

Pixel Art / Re: beat em' up character ANIMATED (Critique and feedback here)

The timing of the limbs feels a lot better, from the initial animation. I think @32 is right about the horizontal motion, too. Try playing around with that. Maybe move the character forward when they are at their highest? As for the asymmetrical timing, I think it would depend on the momentum and weight you want to convey. I'm looking forward to the next iteration!

Portfolios / CaleidoSymmetry - Experienced Pixel Artist For Hire
« on: October 21, 2017, 12:19:17 am »
Hello, I'm an experienced pixel artist available for hire on small, mid-size, or big projects.

If you need any help with developing the visual direction, or already have an asset list and simply need the art created for a project, I can help. I would love to work with you to solve your projects' artistic and visual needs.

I do character design and animation, visual effects, UI (i.e. title screens, and other game mode screens), and Environment design.

I'm interested in contract or full time work.

I am not interested in rev-share.

I can promise timely and hassle free communication. I treat every moment on a given project with a lot of care and mindfulness. I enjoy taking full control of the art direction of a project, and I value input from those I'm working with. That's where my best work comes from. It's all about clearly communicating what a project needs, and that's what I'm here for.

Here is my portfolio

The best way to contact me is by email at caleidosymmetry(at)gmail.com

Feel free to contact me with project details, as well as any questions you may have about rates.

I hope to hear from you soon so I may start helping you actualize the world of your project.
