Pixel Art / Re: My First

Well I can't really comment on the animations, because I know nothing about the topic.  What I will say is that crossbows are quite heavy, too heavy to be held like your character is holding it.  Crossbows are usually held like any other firearm.  Although the man in this picture is right-handed, it might help you: http://images.jupiterimages.com/common/detail/50/28/23052850.jpg

Pixel Art / [WIP] Robo-cop

Shield your eyes!  That's right, a complete n00b's attempt at pixel art.  I decided to pixel a floating robot, which somehow turned into a Police Robot.  :D

I was content with the line-art, but I'm not completely happy with my shading, but I was stumped, so I posted to get some help.  C+C is welcome and appreciated!   :)

I'm not much help on really technical stuff, but the one thing that bugs me is that where the house meets the tree, it seems to me like it's both behind and in front of the tree at the same time.  Sorry if I'm wrong, my eyes are a bit wonky; I'm quite tired.

General Discussion / Re: Introductions

Hey folks!  My name is Chungel, I'm almost 15 (July), and I am a complete nub to pixel art.  I seriously haven't pixeled a single thing in my life.  After my friend showed me an image made by eBoy, I did a little research and found out it was called pixel art, and that eBoy's art was something called isometric.  Wanting to learn how to make such awesome images, I ended up here, as well as Pixel Joint (same username).

Er... A little about myself: I'm a Minnesotan, I'm a band geek, and... I enjoy watching movies.

Hopefully I'll learn a lot here, and maybe make a few friends too.  :)

EDIT: Just realized I'm member 3666.  Weird.
