Okay I've progressed a bit but now I'm stuck. Can someone diagnose the problem?

What does it want me to do with this stdafx.h thing?

I already have python installed, so that blender will run (even though blender says it's not :P). I guess I can try C++ tutorials, and if it's too complicated I can download Pygame and try that.

Okay, I'm trying to follow a tutorial and it wants me to compile this:

____________________________________________________

#include <iostream>

using namespace std;

int main()
{
  cout<<"HEY, you, I'm alive! Oh, and Hello World!\n";
  cin.get();

  return 1;
}

I am trying to use Microsoft Visual C++ Express, and I can't find a compile button that works when I load the text into it. Any help?

I just downloaded Microsoft Direct X SDK and I am confused. I want to get into programming but that's impossible until I get the right tools and such. Am I missing something or is there a tut or something?

First ever 3d work:

Only part not done in blender is the texture on the vase. Effect on the floor was totally unintentional, but I like it ;).

Awesome, what do you use. Man I've fooled around in blender and the best I got was not nearly this.

Decided to make another mage tower. This one on a mountainside.

I'm going about it the way I'm going because of a few key reasons, the main being detail. Anyway it would be hard for me to explain but, after leaving it for awhile I'm coming back to it with more inspiration:

My Pixel tree is actually coming along great, I've spent probably 45 minutes to an hour. Won't be back today, but here goes:

It's funny that no one has yet thought of that tree as an evergreen. Well I absolutely love the piece, but here's a few nitpicks.

The cliffs - they should be more like the tiles shown on the left, but with more detail.

The log house -  the grey bar should be replaced with grass. the logs are too 'clean' and look like brown metal. there should at least be a small path in front of the door, two tiles at least.

the white house (and i don't mean that american building) - the texture is too simple, and needs more colors to stay with the detailed design of the rest.

water - too repetitive.
