Pixel Art / Re: [WIP][Feedback]Treasure Chest

I'm not sure, but I kinda feel like it looks a bit too boxy. Your light is above the chest (?) so try rounding the lid by lighting it as you have done in your upper metal parts. +if the light is above the chest, there should also be a shadow under that horizontal metal bar. Also I would add some depth to your lock. it looks a bit flat atm.

wow, looking good!

I would add some knee movement into the idle animation. It certainly could spice it up a little more :)

Thanks, just published my game and it seems that the background doesn't blend in too much (movement fixed it).
here's a link to the game if anyone is interested :)

https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.sakont.dontgetdrunk

NOTE: game only works on android, ios version will probably be available next week.

I have used GIMP for pixel art a bit, and to my knowledge best way to post pics you have made is this: press R-key and select your pic you want to share, press Ctrl(Command on Mac) + C-key to copy your selection. then press Ctrl(Command on Mac) + shift + V-key to create new image from your selection. then simply export your image.

Make sure you do pixel art in 1:1 ratio (one pixel is one pixel in your image).

Also, I highly recommend getting pyxel edit. It's only 9 bucks and It really speeds up your learning. :)

So I managed to redo bunch of the original graphics and I made a new background. I used a same palette for the background and the platforms and I kinda feel they blend together too much. In the game both of them will move to the left in different speeds so that might fix the problem (I haven't tried it yet tho). any ways to improve my palette or the concept pic in general? Thanks :)

You have a good point, I didn't even think how those drunk effects might effect the background. And you're right, I wasn't sure about those colours in the first place. I'll try again this week and post my improved pic here. I'll maybe redo those other graphics too since I'm not that sure about them. It's a cool pic tho so if it doesn't end up being the background I'll use I'm not disappointed. Thanks again!

I kinda feel like his arms are too muscular and too curvy, also his shoulder line is facing too much to his side in my opinion (shoulders facing 100% to his right, feet are facing 45% to the right and the head is facing straight forward). he kinda looks like a dude from an egyptian painting.  https://media1.britannica.com/eb-media/25/83825-004-451EFABC.jpg

I'm not sure if this was intended tho, if not, make sure all of his body "components" are facing in the same direction :)

Nice work mate!
Your castle and farm houses remind me of a board game.
google a game called Carcassonne.
I bet that you'll find some inspiration!
