Challenges & Activities / Re: Hexquisite Corpse 4 (on pause)

I did another tile(T40) DONE!

apologies for the swearwords... he's sort of what's been on my mind though recently... idk i thought it was better with the caption, and really, you can read it multiple ways(have I said to much? did I give it away?), so I hope no body takes it too seriously...

Anyway, as I understand it, the following tiles are currently available:

T2(taken by me hANshOTtH3RD)
T7(taken by me hANshOTtH3RD)
T40(taken by me hANshOTtH3RD)

I wish I could to help out more, although my future plans are very undetermined at the moment. So I guess I'll just draw some pixelart while I'm sitting around waiting(...& scheming).

hey there, not familiar with GraphicsGale(i do most everything in GIMP myself), although if your trying to resize, you might try converting to rgb, and then resizing, and then using that as a template to paint over. ...that's just one pixel-newb to another...

So I decided to do T7 ...I know it's paused, but I couldn't resist.
here's a little texture experiment i did:

update - DONE! here are my T7 borders:

...funny thing(or maybe not) but did HighVolt ever submit his T7 tile(from a year ago)?

Also, I read ptoing's suggestion about borders... should I apply that to my T2? i need to add some birds there or something? On the same subject, T23 doesn't really look finished. it's so static-looking, and the only animated thing in it(the computer panel) looks only half-done(right side of panel is blank). it supposed to be like that?

...and I hate to be like this, maybe I need my eyes checked, but does T56 not quite match up on the corner with T46? seams like the flames just run to the edge where there should be a black pit cutting in a bit.

a few other things:

tonydaderp claimed T71, although it is still marked unclaimed?

did Haddy did not submit T45?

what about maximorod(T16)?

I realize some of these are more than a year old, but I'm just wondering which tiles are actually available. I'm assuming this collab will eventually be resumed & completed; and hopefully soon, it's best when these sort of things don't drag out too long...

I like it! how about we go 50%-50% on the profits! with of course a fair use exception for educational purposes ;)

...Update(04/June/2020): I'm still not sure how I wan't to fix Bolton yet(maybe just start over). much pixel noise; also, i sized the horizontal bars twice as thick as they should be for the size of the image; and the frame is kinda on the tall side too(I wan't to settle on a common size should I decide to tile a whole bunch of these things)

...I did a little resize+cleanup on the original Obama Hope poster for practice today(It ended up 356w x 534h px total including 12px borders; perhaps it's best to match the original):

Well it was accepted on P.J. after all. ...and also now i can access the forum! I'll definitely keep checking in here though...  And I'm definitely still very curious about when they will un-pause the Hexquisite Corpse 4!?

...Rydin, are you sure you are not really Picasso!?

Thanks for the link. I'm not sure my style is compatible with pixeljoint sadly; also the piece is not finished(ran out of time).

Is "posterising" a technical term? admittedly that's probably what I've been doing recently; most of my stuff is meme-stickers:

Looking at it now, I agree with you very much: there were some details lost in the processing. I actually began trying to add some of them back in by hand, although it became very late, and i ran out of time... Maybe i should have put "W.I.P." in the title, although i'm not sure I'll work on it anymore right now(I need to work more on my process than getting stuck on any one piece).

...there should be more challenges & activities here, although i think weekly might be pushing it a bit. I've been aware of the PJ weekly challenges for awhile now, and just haven't participated in one before, but the subject of this challenge just struck me, and I came up with the idea.

ok, I've already sent them to Indigo. Is someone going to take this thing over and get it going again? what about Gecimen?

...also 72 hours is way too little for animation(or maybe I'm just a novice)

What do you want help with exactly?

not sure really, looking at it now, I actually think it turned out alright(to bad it was not accepted). I suppose I'm still struggling with choosing my color palette, and then getting those colors to come out in the right places(I sort of figured it out as I went along though). It's still not quite finish though(not sure I will finish it). I tried hard to eliminate extraneous colors, like in the face mask, although in that case I decided it was better with them in. ...I think there are still at least 2 extra colors in there that i shouldn't have; they were in my palette, and got lost in the noise. the prompt was for 16 colors. I cut it down to 14.

Hello, I made a medical+biblical pixel diddy. Apologies for the rough/unpolished look look, I sort of did this in an afternoon, and it's not really done; however I'm not sure I will finish, even though I'm sure there are things that could be improved, or that I could have done differently...  any way here it is:

This was for this weeks challenge on, although at this point the deadline is fast approaching and it still has not been approved. They really seam to have set up quite a gauntlet for new users over there: points & levels...i can't even write comments on my own posts, and I can't access their forum because I don't have enough points yet. it's kind of funny actually ;D

(btw) i heavily relied on a reference image for this; you can probably find it pretty quick on google, if you can tell which one because he is wearing a mask ;P

looks like my 1st post was hidden?(i drew a design for T2 a few months back, although I guess I forgot to introduce myself, so my account was not yet approved.)

...anyway, now it is Done!

here are my borders: was a bit of a learning experience for me, but i think it turned out alright. (...done in GIMP)

...and who do I p.m. my completed tile to then?
