Pixel Art / Re: [Newbie][Feedback] First time doing pixel art
« on: January 22, 2017, 05:37:02 am »
I'm pretty new to pixel art as well so take my comment with a grain of salt()

Anyways, I would say that the sprites are unreadable at 1x which is the resolution that they need to be readable at. To solve this you might want to have a preview up as you work so you can see what it looks like without zooming out so that you can verify this.

I'll say this again, I am pretty new so take what I say with a grain of salt(this is how I work now btw) ::)

Thanks for the comment MysteryMeat (Cool Name, lol)

That's a good idea! I think I'll try that next so I get the correct proportions in the cheeks, nose and forehead(maybe ears as well ???).

Thanks for the advice, I'll take it into consideration when I try again at drawing a face  ;)

I think I messed up the most by using to different types of faces as references and trying to use both in the drawing, I'll take a photo of someone in real life and then try next time.

Pixel Art / Human face anatomy and light

Hello, Pixelation! :P
I am wanting some advice about my first attempt at trying to do a human face :-\

The palette option I choose was the base which fool uses in all his artworks(I choose it because to me it seems like a nice non-grayscale way to get light correct and then work with colours after).
