I spent a few days (hours) on this, and just kept trying to improve on it. I could use help figuring out the fire reflectins.

Pixel Art / Re: Hex Tiles, attempts

there is a way to fix it with scripting, I was just testing it for consistency between tiles. the actual grid they are placed on is 2x2, but likely it will need 1x1 to really work just right, and there is overlap with the tiles because there was no edge made for them, so the border is that edge, otherwise they would have to be 1 px shorter on all sides. I will post when the programmer gets to setting up the world :)

a friend told me that 8x8 px is 8bit, but you can scale it as you please.

Devlogs & Projects / Turning a Comic Book into Cartoon
« on: May 10, 2017, 06:59:12 pm »
Hi everyone. Sorry I have not participated in discussions as of late, I had to move and so much life happened.

I have a comic book on Amazon through CreateSpace, and I am looking to create a free distribution of the work in cartoon form via youtube, and possibly though yoyo as a standalone executable.

I have 8bit to 32bit style graphics, and a simplistic harp accompaniment OST that is a WIP.

I saw an 8bit cartoon the other day and I thought it would be fun to make one. I am using Gimp 2 for creating the graphics, Finale 2014 for the OST, and Game Maker Studio 1.4 Pro for the actual assembly of the cartoon.

I have since adjusted a few details for making the scenes work better, but I was curious if anyone had suggestions for improving this? Like how the story feels and if I do a good job in general.
