Thank you all,

@0xDB your link was enormously helpful, thanks :)

@Zia, yes, definitely that's the way I'm going to work

@Gragh, thanks, but I would like to keep a few colors in the palette

@MysteryMeat, You're right, I will put more detail on leaves

Hi,

How could I improve the branches (vegetation) of the tree?

It's obviously a work in progress, but honestly I want to know if I'm on the right track or should correct something.

Thanks so much for your help!

Update 2:

I follow the odedrt9's image:

Can anyone get more out of this?
Thanks in advance!

@MysteryMeat

I could not understand your message because of my low level of English.
Thanks in any case to answer. Could you rewrite with simpler words?? Thanks!!

@odedrt9

Wow! Now it is a totally shining armor

@wzl

yeah!, is an advantage invent a world, rather than mimic a realistic style. I think I could bring to life new characters. Because add new details to this I think is more complicated

Ok, I'll show you how it works best for me. It is my subjective, I do not mean to correct you and I think your drawing is fine for me.

I stretching his arms and legs, to stylize his figure a little more, without actually change its resolution too.
I have separated his arms from his body, so that the negative space plays in my favor, now you can guess the figure of his gadget (previously you can't).

Thanks Glak and Decroded.

It is assumed that the troll is down a staircase.

Here the original sketch.

Well, I already know where to focus, perspective and work with references.
Maybe it was a mistake, try to represent an image that is only in my head, with my current level.

So probably I leave this picture, in favor of working with models and easier references, till have a good level.

Thaks for your tips!

Hey guys,

I'm New Here, this is my first thread. So I take this opportunity to say hello and thank you for the incredible readings I've had in this forum.

I'm starting with the pixel art, and although I have read a lot, I have reached a level where I need criticism from others who know more than me, to see my mistakes.

I usually start by defining the shapes (clusters) with colors, and after that, I will refine up to give a shape.

But this time, I would like to start by defining the "line art", like in the traditional art.

So this is my "concept art" (lol)

And now I'm defining the drawing

I've arrived this far, now I'm going to sleep, I will continue tomorrow. Please, I need criticism, if somehow you help with drawing (anatomy, color, perspective, shadow, pixel art technique...), I would appreciate it greatly, I want to improve, I need to learn.

I'll be continually working on drawing and adding improvements, so I will be posting progress along tomorrow.

Thank you very much.
