How about the Latin names for crab and swan (whatever those names are)?

I'm not sure if it's been CC'd before, but how about one of the Fire Emblem or Super Robot Wars games?

I want to nominate the recent Final Fantasy remakes on PSP (the art style of the remakes seems quite a bit different from the style used in the older games), but I haven't been able to find any good screen caps that could be used.

I would recommend not choosing Pokemon Diamond/Pearl. The overworld in it is mostly flat polygons textured to look like sprites, and battles also seem to use 3d a fair bit, so there's not actually much pixel art to critique.

How about critiques of some amateur or fan games?

I am amazed beyond belief.  Awesome art!  It's great to see that the tutorial's back up, too.

Those swords look sweet.  Will they be that size in the game, or will they be shrunk down?  By this, I mean, will there be a preview menu when shopping or equipping items that will show the item you're viewing with that amount of detail, or will they all be represented by simple icons like in most games?

This is what it was like before Pixelopolis?

*Awesome*.

How about something like Pokemon?  I'm not sure how easy or hard it would be to find usable screencaps of the series, but I'd like to see how the more experienced pixelers here handle things like tiling and animation when faced with constraints like those found on the Game Boy.

Basically, I'd like to see a game get critiqued that has servicable pixel art, but still has some room to improve.

More people know about Super Robot Wars than you may think.  The number who know about it will probably go up a bit in the near future, now that the "Original Generation" portion of the series has seen an English release, under the name Super Robot Taisen.

A pallette challenge would be sweet.  How about a CGA challenge? :P
