Wow that is impressive. I'll definitely have to factor that into a redraw, it was like night and day looking at the two.

Thanks, I'll work on incorporating these changes when I get back from the weekend :)

Hey guys,

I'm working on trying to take my pixels to the next level and seem to be hitting a road block. Was wondering if you can point out some of the mistakes I'm making? I can tell there are issues with this piece but I don't know where to start.

Hair pops up to high on the head unless there is going to be shading to explain it.

This guys videos can really help you understand how to do great hair

For an example of how to improve the hair look at this guy's speedpaints https://www.youtube.com/user/JinnDemonEvil/videos

I usually find I pick up something new after each time I watch them.

As to how someone would start a large epic picture like you've shown, haven't the foggiest but I'd also be interested to know.

Hey guys,

Over the past 4 months I've been participating on a subreddit called RedditGetsDrawn where users submit photos to be drawn by community members. I've been using as a place for source materials and ideas so I could practice my Pixel art. However I feel like I haven't been progressing much lately and would like some input on what areas I should focus on getting better at.

For reference here's the album of images with their original threads.

Alright, I'll work up some new pose so I can try and get more of the details in, maybe some sort of action pose. Probably going to need to do a bigger image size, when I tried to add the bullets last time they ended up being undecipherable because they were so small.

Hey guys,

I'm having some issues with colour selection and tiny details. I worked on a recreation of a new League of Legends character and general concensus is meh. I was wondering what touch ups and changes I should be working into it and my other pieces to make them shine

This is the piece in question
