Pixel Art / Re: Hello Pixelation ! [C-C] Spaceship

Very nice work !

rough edit fixing shadow on big astronaut's left arm :

sorry, i have no time for something more in depth but i think the big astronaut's sprite needs some more work on light and shadows and also on the placement of his elbow (try to place it one pixel lower).

An edit for a more "realistic" pirate... don't know what it's worth since he's not spacey anymore...

One advice : less colors is better. I'm sure i still used too many of them anyway.

Very nice piece of work ! The animation is quite smooth too.

There is one thing i don't understand here, what's this green color on her face ? Also, why is there a single dark pixel bouncing up and down ? Her face looked better without it (like on your first post).

Also, you should do something with the two white pixels on her skirt. Maybe get rid of them, or change this pure white color for something less agressive.

Pixel Art / static character

This is a study of a character i made some time ago. At the time, I was thinking to animate him but i'm not so sure about it anymore.

If you have some c+c, please share.

Hi. Very nice piece. One of the few things i don't like is... the bike. I mean, i like the idea of it but i think it should be placed elsewhere in the composition. In your draft it was put against some stuff, and it seemed more real than in your latest update. Also, i'm not sure about all these outlines on it.

and I totally agree with what Decroded mentioned in his post. Some details would add some kind of story telling consistency, what would be a very good thing for this piece.

Thanks for the edits, guys ! They are both quite nice and it's always good to see some new interpretations from other artists. They point on some details i didn't see or give me inspiration.

@Cyangmou : i am not sure about your proportions either. I've seen this car many times in eastern europe and your edit doesn't remind me of it. It looks more like another car... but i can't remember its brand now. Sorry for the lack of informations about the use of this car. I need some more height in the upper part because if i put my sprites in it, they have to fit in it... I'm currently working on a game, but i'm not sure i will ever finish it, that's why i didn't bother to explain myself more.

@HarveyDentMustDie : Thanks man !

Here is a new version corrected a bit. I think it's kind of finished unless you see some big flaws.

Pixel Art / Re: another boring walk cycle...

Yeah, i was thinking about something like this too for a moment. I even tried it but for this character it's not what i'm looking for.
In fact, i wonder if this walk is too stiff or is it ok ? With the obstruction of lo res it's quite hard to animate the torso without overdoing it...
