I like this mockup. it's coming along well. However, there's one thing that bothers me which is that you have the same amount of empty, black, unused space as you do playing space up above.  It just seems like there is a lot of wasted space to me. Concerning the attack animation i think an up swinging animation would fit this character better since his weapon is starting at the ground.  This would also give it more power than just a poke and allow for combos possibly.

I thought the boat looked really odd like half of it was in a different view than the other half. So i did a quick edit to make it look like it was all in the same perspective.  Idk if it is something you want to change because of this pieces cartoony style but if it is this might help.

I'm a huge TMNT fan so i would love to see this game actually be made i think you should try and get a play able version out even if it is only w few levels. Maybe hire a programmer or find someone who would like to help you make it for free.  But i love the art its amazing the effects and stuff are great far better than i could do ever.This really looks like it could be  a legit gameboy game, its amazing.   :y: :D

I made a quick edit just moving the roof back because it was at a different angle than the front of the house.

There is something weird going on at the bottom of the house in those red circles the stones curve in and makes it look really weird.

I like the style of the front of the house though the brown looks good but i think the grey stone colors could use some changing they are too blue i think.

I don't think that the characters look like they are in the fighting mood they look more like they are depressed and are going to go cry. I dont know the plot or story idea behind this game or even if there is one but if they are out for revenge or maybe if they want there drug money you could make them seem more angry.

But so far other than what Pk said i think it looks good i do really like your knife guys

to help think of a theme think of a reason why they should be busting these creeps skulls other than they have huge knifes, some thing like a motive (in my game your mom gets kidnapped)

I too helped draw for a fighting game but it was 2 or 3 years ago before i knew much, well anything at all about pixel art. its more a game that is sopposed to to be comedic and fun there is a link to it in my neighbors website (who i worked on it with) in my signature if you wanna check it out but it is not really going to help you with your art considering the art in it is well, terrible to say the least.

It looks like if it was a real vehicle that when it would lift one of its legs it would fall over because it is off balance.  You should look up some mech warrior stuff from the games and see how their legs work.  It might help have a good reference

Is she supposed to be breathing or is she like leaning onto her tip toe because if she is breathing it looks like too much movement.  I would look like she just ran the 2 mile and is breathing really heavily.  Try not making her feet move and just her torso expand.
Also is she going to be a fighting sprite?  Is she going to beat up burgalers or creepy men?  :lol:

The floor real sticks out because it is more saturated than the rest of the castle. So i would say drop the saturation on the colors in the floor and it should fit better with your castle.

I really think that this piece is looking good.  :y:
