Maybe instead of trying to keep 2d pixelart games alive, us as pixel artist should now be striving make pixel art into a trully accepted art form, with exhibits etc. All of us who want to see pixel art survive forever should now instead of concentrating on the past of pixel art (ofcourse we shouldn't forget our roots) and it being all about games, should now be trying to use the techniques we have learnt through creating game art etc to creating works of art. Well, it's late, my grammer aint great at the moment and trying to express my idea doesn't seem to be working, so if anyone understands me, thats awesome :).

it's not just you helm, but I disagree with the whole FF7 art style hating thing. I like the FF7 character designs.

@The Cold Mage: it may seem harsh at first, but without harsh technical critcism then we wouldn't grow as pixel artists, as this is what pixelati..pixelopolis is all about.

right, made a small update,
but I just can't get his right leg (our left) looking perfect. It's supposed to be like a "power stance" but his right leg being a bit behind his left..hard to explain..

i was going to suggest blender, but robalan was too quick of the mark.
anyways, it is a good program, strike that great program considering it's an open source 3d modelling program.
