Bahaha, I like. Love the messed up teeth on the Z.

Not a huge fan in general of the wide-crotch look, though. It's bearable on the first three guys, but really overdone on the biker. I might also suggest making the glasses on the first guy taller by a pixel, just so they clearly read as such. Weapon-wise, glasses guy's top-view pistol grip is a bit weird, mainly because his straight arm is tilted so far center. For something with so few pixels to play with, I'd either go full-on isosceles (both arms straight out), or a weaver grip (similar to the Chapman, but both arms remain bent). If you go with isosceles, though, I'd still recommend offsetting the right foot backwards a pixel or two.

2D & 3D / Re: Mirror's Edge - Celeste

Sure thing. Haven't had a chance to do anything more than a couple minutes of touch up here and there, so i'll wait on the texture update.

The face has been a bit of a back and forth fight, since the concept art that i'm working off of has her with very prominent features (more pronounced, in fact, than the texture i've currently got). I'll have to play with it a bit more.

Did up a handheld-spec model of Celeste from Mirror's Edge. Still need to work a bit on the texture (and possibly tweak the UVs). 506 tris, 128 texture.

These are pretty awesome. :) Readability is fine, I reckon; I recognised most of them right off the bat.

Size-wise, the MSN emotes are actually 19x19, so you're fine there. :p

I know you said you've already spent 4 hours on this, but I feel you've strayed from your concept. The tree in the sketch looks friendly, almost inviting, and while the pixeled tree doesn't exactly look sinister, per se, it certainly doesn't look as affable as your concept. Part of that is the width of the "mouth" which is narrower than the sketch, and the other is its right eye, which is smaller, squinting somewhat.

EE's is an early start, with room for refinement and smoothing up, as he's already stated. I like the feel of it, though, but I've generally been a fan of loose strokes on the whole, so there's a bit of bias. MadHatter's is solid, though, if in need of killing the black lines :)

Ultimaodin: Really, dude? Firstly, MadHatter isn't exactly an uncommon or unheard of name (Lewis Carroll, anyone?). Secondly, really dude? You don't think you could have asked him via PM?

Yeah, hadn't realised how lacking in contrast they were til you mentioned. The two are actually almost the same height in real life (I've just freezeframed it at the bit where they're walking, and Danny's asking about whether he's fired two guns, etc). I /should/ make him fatter, though. Wasn't sure how far to push it initially. :p I'll see what else I can do about the symmetry (Angel's currently got his various holsters in place, but I'll differentiate the shotguns as per the movie), though for the next bit, I'm more than likely gonna try and do side-view platformish-style sprites of them, so the symmetry won't be such an issue.

Cheers for the comments, I'll get some fixes done in the morning.

Was rewatching Hot Fuzz again, and felt like doing up a couple pixel versions of the characters. I've got half a mind to do up proper platformer sprites for Angel and Butterman, as well as the rest of the Force (sorry, Service), and the council.

That there is beautifully animated. My only real gripe is the way his head is seated in the helmet, as well as the fact that the eyes appear too far up.

Minor edit:

Personally, I also feel like you could lose the white of the eye.
