Great improvement on the original, its always nice to see that.

I am loving the whole picture, except I would just think that on his left leg you would not be able to see his ankle? Or am I wrong there? That's just in contrast to the right leg, is all.
Apart from that, nothing seems too wrong or out of place to me, good work!

Welcome to Pixelation, I hope you enjoy your stay!

Now, I'm not much of an artist myself, but from what I can see, I'd say that the animation (to me) is a bit too rough and jumpy. Maybe add in a few filler frames here and there.

Apart from that, its all good in my eyes. Maybe a bit of a shading issue on the shirt, but you should probably wait for someone else's opinion on that first.

My two cents,
Good luck

Thanks for that, Xion. It helps.

I have been dabbling in traditional art for a few years now, although I'm rather horrible at that, too. But I am friends with "Yuhkaz", you may remember him from Pixelation, and he can teach me a few things.

Also, Me = no spare time. =/ So I think once school is done in a few weeks I will knuckle down on my pixel art and try to improve as much as I possibly can.

Haha. If you mean my avatar, yes it is me. xD

I have been rather busy, and will be busy for the next week or so, so I haven't/won't have much time at all for pixelling. I will post up some new works when I get this stuff out of the way, though.

In the mean time, here is something that I coloured at school;

As always, C & C appreciated.

Hmmmmm, these are pretty good.

I only have a few crits/comments;
1) In the Forest Area, the water looks a lot like the grass, just a different colour. You should try to make this more uniqe.
2) With all of your tiles, they still seem a bit gridd-y. You've done pretty well there, but there is still room for improvement ;)
3) The trees in the Forest Area also look like they aren't really rooted into the ground. At the moment, it looks like they have just been put there. Maybe adding a little bit of dirt around the base of the tree could help? Just fiddle with it and see what works/what doesn't.

That's all from me! Keep up the pixelwork!

As you may or may not know, I am starting up pixelling again, and needed some input from the great people of Pixelopolis.

I was wondering what I should focus more on while getting into pixel art to develop my skills. I have started doing colouring first, because lineart is my weak point. This being said, I know that I should probably be working on my lineart skills, but it seems that everytime I try, the work comes out completely different to what I had intended and I end up getting angry and inserting a grenade into my PC and exploding it. Alright, maybe not to that extent, but it is frustrating.

So, what did you start off with? Did you do anything in particular, or did you just do pixelling in general? And where do you think would be the best place to start?

Thanks for your time!

Wow, you truly are a dithering God. Well done, I really like the last one. Very cute! And delicious pallette too.

Are there anymore on the whey?
