A couple of things I'd try, just ideas:

 - The hair and skin are similar shades. Giving a different colour or shade to the hair might help define them better.

 - The legs both look like they're the same distance away. Make one darker to push it back.

Alright!, I'll keep that in mind for the next piece, Thanks for your time!

Hello! This is my first time doing this Form of art,It's pretty fun to mix color in small canvas
I'm currently focusing on sprite character design (hopefully suitable for games) and i think this is the best i can do
I always have trouble with shading object correctly, i'm not sure if i add too much or too little, any feedback on shading is really appreciated

For this image,i'm dressing her with an oversized t-shirt that has a moon picture, green pyjamas, And a ribbon for small decor ;)
Tell me if any of the description above doesn't match what you think you see, i can try to fix that.
Also if possible i want to give her a bored look, is it doable in such a small size?

The logo on left bottom is "pigment" An app for randomized color pallete used for this piece,
I made few shades of the base color.

Edit: Major fix in writing,i'm sorry

Ooh that cactus looks really cute!, i like pastel color and you seems to be in a good path,

2 of the critique above is a good advice and i'm just as lost as you when it comes to color, i Recommend you to learn HSV(recommended) or HSL Type of color, it is two of the best settings to adjust saturation and value for your pallete

Here is a good  app i recently found https://colorpicker.fr/

It let you pick a color straight from a canvas and generate shading based on HSL, Hopefully it can help you get a grasp on coloring, but don't let yourself rely on this app so much.

Hope it helps in any way.

Hello,Greetings from pixel arts newbie!

Honestly, your arts looks awesome, It makes me kinda jealous hehe, you seems to have grasp a good understanding of shade in which i was weak at, so i'm quite excited to see more from your arts, i can't really have much suggestion for you

but i can think of some for slime

So slime are a sticky creature, You can add a splash particle in between it's impact to the ground, you have a good grasp on the smoke particle so i think you can do it

For a little practice, Add a little accesories to it like Hat!, it is a solid object that interact with a jumping squishy object, pay attention to the volume of the hat (following chonky pixel's critics) see how you manage to animate it when the slime fall to the ground (will the hat stick? or it fall before the slime).

I hope it helps you in any way, and sorry if my english broken.
