Do those applications do HD Index Painting the same way Photoshop did, like how Dan Fessler showed it? That's more what I was referring to.

Sorry I'm late to this party, the guy probably even left the planet and is somewhere in a Mandalorian motel, for all I know. There's just one thing that bothers me about this guy quitting pixel art, having got a general idea of the circumstances:

Does he know about HD Index Painting? Because I wonder how much time of all those 4 years he could've saved if he knew.

Then again, I haven't tried HD Index Painting long enough to know, so I can only otherwise assume those 4 years are spent manually putting in all those pixels one-by-one, click-by-click.

Hi, I'm still alive or something. I'm hiding in a hole because I'm sort of destroying myself with self-training of 3D modelling, and I haven't even finished my first character, mostly due to the fact that she's become some kind of testbed of technique polishing. Some aren't impressed at how much time I've spent on her, but eh, it's not really good looking anyway.

But that's besides the point. Anyone remember Skullgirls? Alex Ahad posted here a few years ago about it, and now he's assembled quite a team of buddies to help him with the animations, and I can't wait to look at them up close and personal, because the videos they show of them are absolute diabetic eyecandy to look at.

To top it all off, they managed to hire Michiru-freakin'-Yamane for the jazzy BGMs the game is going for. She's not slacking off in quality, as usual.

Recently, I've been steadily losing my motivation, fun, and commitment to draw anything, because I'm actively piling up and gradually exaggerating all of the criticisms I've emulated from other people around me (ergo I'm a huge dipshit to myself), but I'm still doing my best to stay strong. Here's my most recent WIP:

Why is his head so small?

You know, I've been thinking about that question more seriously as of late, and I'm starting to think that I may have Rob Liefeld's blood flowing in my veins. Forget circular fallacies and defenses, he and I are almost like brother and brother.

Part 1 of a 3-part sheet series that flopped like King Hippo's belly.

Still wanting to do more despite the failure. Pardon the huge size.

The last one confuses me especially. Why does she have bunny ears, whiskers, and a tuft of chest hair? Her expression is far too demure if she's conscious of the hideous transformation that's taking place.

- She's a furry, like most of what I've made in this thread.

- First time I've heard "hideous" on this kind of picture (most of the time it's something like "wtf"). This was meant to be done for a friend of mine, who's a huge fan of Devil May Cry, and the transformation is based on Lucia from DMC2, whose Devil Trigger form is that of what looked like an angel with most of her body "wearing" her own wings, and her head also veiled by her wings. I thought to myself, "hey, that actually looks more cute than cool", and so I used that idea as a base to this picture... if you look closely, she's caressing her own wings that are coming out in the style of a mixture of a butterfly coming out of its coccoon and a flower blossoming. And assuming transformations in the DMC universe were harmless, I made her transform by having her whole body crack open like an egg.

Hope that clears things up.

Yet another WIP I spent WAAAAAAAAAAY way way too much time on. I eventually decided to abandon this version for now in order to completely start from scratch...

These were part of a plan to redraw character portraits for Streets of Rage Remake due to some complaints that the portraits in V4 didn't suit the feel of the game. While I don't mind the one guy who said that it's too bright for SOR, I do mind the remark of the style not fitting in with the SOR feel...

Because it's another one of those moments where my style has no place to belong but here, on my lap. And that makes me feel kinda lonely.

The first thing i noticed apart from the funky style is that i couldn't find a definitive lightsource, if needed. Right now it looks a bit like the cameraman pointed the light directly in front of the guy.
