Hello:

Adrian Santos here, Community Manager for Respec Gaming Studios. We are in need of a sprite artist, especially one that can make HD sprites, to work for our first gaming project that is "2 vs 2" 2D fighting game project. Our game is called S.H.I.F.T and its a game with graphics close to the quality of Guilty Gear or Blazblue with gameplay mechanics from mentioned games and Marvel vs Capcom. Its been almost 9 months since we started on this project and we have done so much: we're done with character concept work, we have our game engine built from the ground up thanks to our programmers, and we're currently looking for voice actors. Here's our DA page and facebook page.

Reason we need a sprite artist at this time because one of our might be leaving soon. We need to continue our work as we're trying to finish our first two playable characters in which we need them done to finally start showing gameplay and use it to help set up our promo video for our Kickstarter campaign. Sprite artists only need to work with the line animation that our animators finished, use it as reference and put into sprite form. Work is paid by Kickstarter and pay depends of how much work you have done for us. If you're interested, please contact me or our CEO, Chris Flournoy, whether through here, email, or Skype.

Unpaid Work / Pixel Artist wanted for Fighting Game Project

Heyo:

GreatDragon AD here. I work as a promoter for a game development group called Respec Game Studios. Here is our DA page.

Also, here is our facebook page.

We are currently working on our first project which is a "2 vs 2" 2D fighting game project called S.H.I.F.T. It a game focused to have graphics similar to Guilty Gear or Blazblue with some game mechanics from mentioned games and Marvel vs Capcom. We've been working on this project in for 8 months and a lot has been done thanks to our staff composed of fellow fighting game enthusiasts. We pretty much finished our concept work for our characters and continue to work on more such as stage art, HUD and such. We finished our very own game engine done from the ground up by our talented yet hard working programmers. We just need to finish the first two playable characters for our game so we can begin making our demo and promo video for Kickstarter and our deadline to have it done is by August.

The group is in need of a pixel artist because one of our own might be leaving due to family reasons. Work is paid by Kickstarter. Once we earn enough funds, we then use it to pay for our staff, hire for more professional work, and cover production costs. We do expect our artists to keep us up to date at least once a week to show us any progress. Sprite artists work with reference work which is line animation for the characters' moves done by our animators and try to put that into pixel form. Here's some samples of our concept work.

The game also have some great potential as we have support by big names like Ben Dunn, creator of comic book series Ninja High School, founder of Antarctic Press, and father of American Manga. We also have Jason Canty who runs Angry Viking Press in which he is giving big support. Basically, we have two indie comic book publishing companies supporting us. Finally, we have some voice actors within our group like Rina-chan (voice of Marie in Skullgirls and Izumo in Blue Exorcist), Nowacking (voice work for abridged series like Pokemon Abridged), and Keikoandgilly (voice work for various fan works). But the biggest news is the possibility of hiring Vic Mignogna (voice of Edward Elric in Fullmetal Alchemist) as he shows great interest in our project and would love to work with us if our Kickstarter succeeds. If you show any interest, please contact me through here, email or Skype or contact the owner of the project Chris Flournoy.

Heyo:

GreatDragon AD here. I currently work for a group called Open Palm Productions in which they are working on a 2D fighting game as their first project. The project is called Project ARC. Here's our facebook page.

Its been some time since our last update we plan to do that soon plus have a new website on the works. Basically, this game will have graphics similar to Guilty Gear or Blazblue with some game mechanics that are like the games mentioned and Marvel vs Capcom. This project have been on the works for 6 months now. The game engine is done from the ground up done by our hard working programmers. We have 64 characters in which most of them are in the concept phase but we plan to use only 20 for the full game and 5 for the demo. Basically, we're at the halfway point of the project but we still have a long way to go. Not just that, this project have a lot of potential. One of the reasons why is because a well known indie studio called Hugecat Studios found out about it and wanted to help us on the project. But we denied them for now as this is our first project and we wanted to finish this on our own first.

We have a good group going but we are in need of artists and animators to help out our lead artist and lead animator. We are especially in need of sprite/pixel artists since we don't have one in our team at this time. Artists will help with concept work such as character work, stage/background work, and such whether re-designing characters, finalizing them, and such. Animators will animate actions for the game then give their works to the sprite artists and use that as reference so they can work on them into pixel form. Sprite artists are the most we want right now since we need to have two playable characters done so we can start showing gameplay Once we have some gameplay, we use that to make our promo video and start running our kickstarter campaign to help us earn our funds to help cover production costs and hire more professional work. Work varies depending on what you can offer but we try not to give too much since we are considerate of our staff's personal life. We give you a small project and let you take your time on it. No hurry, we want to make sure we be patient on making the game so it will come out perfect with no lack of quality functionality. All we ask is inform us with an update once a week, even if if you've done little or no work at all.

Again, the work is not paid but anyone who took part on the project will earn shares from the profits once the game is done and start selling. If unpaid work is an issue then please wait for our kickstarter and if it succeeds we will hire you for your work. Let me inform you that this group is composed of fighting game enthusiasts. Even if they are artists, animators, and programmers alike, they are aware that the work is not paid and that they are doing this out of the kindness of their hearts. Its shows that they have so much faith in this project and confident enough that it will succeed once its done. If you are interested please contact me here, email or Skype:

I would greatly appreciate for taking the time in reading this and showing consideration in our project. From a fighting game fan to another and to all you talented artists out there, thank you very much.
