Pixel Art / Re: 03/30 Adventure RPG sprites

Yeah, maybe the lower left side of the portrait showing the end of the face doesn't fit in with the style. But I do think the lower right side could use some work, the cheek is really big and it makes him look fat. Even moving the cheek 1 or 2 pixels to the left would change that.

Haven't done much pixelart lately but felt like doing something. I was too lazy to start anything new( :-[) so I started editing your link portrait. I did many random edits so I made a gif too so you can see what I changed.

I know the neck looks horrible now, but I hope you still find my edit helpfull in some way.

I did a quick color edit, it did bring up the color count by 20 but that's not the point.
The colors in your version are too much alike, it gives a misty look.
I brought up the contrast in this edit.

I hope this helps
Great job on this, I hope to see more :)

Maybe an invisible wall? Or an invisible floor that goes outside the room?

Based on one of my earlier pixels. (this one: )

Drawn and colored with a pencil. Did some tweaking in Jasc Paint Shop Pro 7, but not very much.
My first real pencil drawing, usually I only make doodles but I've put more effort in this piece.
Oh, and the piece looks a bit blueish but I blame my lousy scanner >:(

Removing the black outline was a good thing, but at some spots you replaced it by a shade that is too bright.

Here is my edit. Mostly edited the chin, helmet and the hands.

Also, some places are pillowshaded (the pants for example). It doesn't look that bad in this picture, but it would be a big improvement if you removed it.

Wow, this is all looking amazing! :o
Great job.
The portrait is improving a lot. I made a little edit that might help you improve it:

Most of the changes are just little random changes.
I changed the ear and the left side of the face. I also edited the nose, the mouth and the eyes a little bit.
I hope it helps

Couldn't help myself to stop meddeling with the portrait ::)
Here is my second edit:

Lost a lot of contrast, but I don't think it turned out that bad.
I managed to reduce the colorcount a bit.
Again some little edits everywhere. But mainly on the left side of the face and in the nose area.

2 - Try avoid outlines if you can; sometimes outlines are great, but it is always good to practice NOT needing them, too.
KAT, you should leave the outlines on the objects (the bombs and the barrel) because it will make them stand out more. You should drop them, or make them less visible on the background. (like the wall and the sidewalk)

I think this is what Adam meant, but to me it wasn't really clear so I thought I should point that out

There is something strange going on on the bottom left of the ship in the death animation.
I don't really like the cannon animation in your first animation, but the rest looks great as usual :y:.
