After looking at the animation a bit more closely, the guys legs appear to be twisting. I'm not too sure how to say this... His right leg, appears to cross behind the left leg, and then go forwards. It keeps on repeating this pattern. It seems like a good start but is he running jogging or walking? His head is bobbing up and down a little two much for what seems like a fast walk. However, his arms look like they are not fluid enough, with the arms down for two frames and then up for 2 again. Seems a little two robotic, unless he is a robot :)
I am still a little bit new to pixel art, but I hope this helps!  ;D

I really love how this is going! However there is one small thing that bothers me a bit.

I guess shading would also be a good solution to this small problem, but maybe you could put something to emphasise the corner?
Otherwise I really like what you've done so far!

I think some dithering in the sky would help the picture a lot.

Nice progress though!

Quick edit: Lowering contrast on the floor makes the other things more distinct even without outlines.
Also, I added shadows for the stools and the suggestion of shadows where the back walls touch the side walls.


Ahhhh, very good edit. Is the bit on the right a stage then? You could have a small piano (As said before) and maybe a guitar stand?

Well, it looks prreeeety stiff. You can see how nothing moves but the body compressing somehow. When the body moves down the legs have to bend (Not too much) and maybe move the arms slightly.

But it think it is an awesome start! The main shape of the body is very good! :D

That guy did well with the left part.

For the right part:


With this quick edit I moved down the right wall, if you didn't notice that :D

You might of purposefully put that wall there but it confused me :L

Improvement!

But, as you said, the cars are too light. Change pallete? I don't know what to say with this subject.

However the bit in the sky looks sliiiiightly weird, It looks like a dirt rainbow XD. How about making it a solid colour at the top and dither it downwards instead of dithering at the top then dithering at the bottom.
