« on: March 08, 2014, 02:20:21 pm »
Hi there,
I have been working on these animations for a little stealth game I'm making. First  time for me doing anything isometric, so I figured I could use some feedback. What do you think?

Pixel Art / jumping and fighting
« on: June 09, 2012, 11:26:38 am »
Hello,

I've been working on this fighting animations. Maybe you will recognize the character or parts of the animation. I've worked on this before. Thanks to your help I made the animations in this topic: http://www.wayofthepixel.net/pixelation/index.php?topic=11721.0
I was really pleased with the results, but I think involving the enemy in the animation and making animations for the player being hit too will improve the result. I want to try to create fistfights with different outcomes depending on the players actions. Here are four, but more will be coming soon.

This one might be not readable enough.

I dont know what causes the little floating elbow part in the last three animations. It shouldn't be there. Try to ignore it, please. :sry:

While making the fighting animation I realised how bad my jumping animation was.  After trying several times I came up with this:

Since the animation must be suitable for a wide range of heights (jumping on a flat floor, jumping of a low ledge, jumping of a cliff) this animation consists out of 3 shorter animations.
Jump:

Flying through the air:

Landing:

Edit:
Trying to make his basic stance look a bit more heroic, but still casual:

The one one the left is the original stif version. The midle ones are first attempts. I'm most happy with the right one and maybe the fifth. Do you agree?

Edit:

The same jump with another landing. This one is for landing without continiuing the running. He just hits the ground and gets up.
Also, this will be the new stance:

Edit:

Any comments are appreciated.

Pixel Art / help on tree trunk
« on: April 18, 2012, 06:09:52 pm »
Hello,

I know there are tons of topics about trees, I've been reading lots of them, but got stuck anyway.
I'm trying to draw a nice tree. I have tried three times now but I am not to satisfied about the result.
The third one is the newest.

I wanted to make it even bigger, but I decided to start out small to get the shading right.
I hope you can help me improve it.

Pixel Art / platformer background
« on: January 14, 2012, 05:14:10 pm »
Hey,

I'm having some trouble with my game background. It's some kind of laboratory/factory environment at night.

I think it hasn't the right atmosphere and the background(I mean the steel plates thing) is to simple anyway. Do you have any comments on this? And what do you think of the pallete. I'd love to improve this. :)

Hey,

I'm working on this climb cycle:

Could you give me some advise about animating his torso? Right now, only his arms and legs are moving.
Any other critics would be appreciated too.

Hey,

I made some animations for my game project. It's a security guard. In the game it will be an enemy. The stick in his right hand is a taser weapon.
First, just standing:

He switches on his taser weapon:

A walk:

Defensive walk:

An atack (very sketchy):

Please, tell me your toughts.

edit: I noticed the animations don't play. I'm trying to upload again.
edit2: I don't understand. I created an animation with the program unfreez and uploaded on imageshack, like I always do. What's the problem?
