Hi, everyone. I am the founder of Studio SUIPOD and I am a pixel artist looking for a programmer that wants to work with me on my current game development project.

Project LIGHTBYTE is a metroidvania style game with 8 sections to explore in this world (We will be working on one section at a time).

Each section has a new gameplay and visual mechanic that will affect the player's gameplay experience. We will talk in great detail so that there will be no confusion between us before the actual development will start.

Visually, you may be opposed to working on this but I choose this style for a reason (It slightly gets better as the player progresses). I have been designing and planning for this project for over 3 years now.

I am willing to pay, if your price is reasonable and you have proof that you are capable doing the job (2D platformer animation, movement and combat control, screen transitioning, dialog boxes, etc.).

I have plans for future projects also, if this one goes well (I have plans for a Indie Game Dev Studio), so please only serious inquiries reply (I would love to find a person or people that I can trust and work for in the future).

Unpaid Work / [CLOSED] Looking for a programmer to partner with
« on: February 07, 2021, 10:54:58 pm »
Hi, I am looking for a programmer to partner with. I am a pixel artist and I want to make video games but programming is not my passion. I have a lot of, in my opinion, great ideas but I need some help.

I love the indie pixel art style. I personally like using small sprites with expressive animations. I also love using limited color palettes (my current project only uses 9 colors; of course the graphical quality will increase).

The title says "unpaid" but that is only until the project(s) make(s) money. This is a potential partnership not a hustle attempt.

I would love to tell you more about my current project and I have written years worth of ideas for future projects that takes place in the same universe. If you want to contact me

My email is iamboaring027@gmail.com
and
My discord name is IAmBoaring027#7344

I only want to work with passionate programmers regardless of experience that realize that business doesn't happen overnight (preferably near Dallas, TX).

Thanks for your time.

Unpaid Work / [Unpaid] Trying to start a game development team
« on: October 02, 2019, 12:27:49 am »
Hello reader, IAmBoaring. I have been studying and creating pixel art for over 10 years now and I have always wanted to make a game. Working solo has allowed me to develop my skills in animation and style of pixel art I like but since we are only limited to our own thoughts and abilities, completing a finished product never happened.

I need to work with a team. I would like to work with people skilled in there respective areas be it: programming, music, story development, world design, etc. Not professional but will take the time to perfect their craft.

I favor more of the retro approaches of art (limited color palettes, small sized sprites and so on) but expressive animations. I believe how the sprite moves can help tell the story even if it is well written. I take the design and the animation process very seriously and will spend lots of time perfecting them.

Here is a link to some of my designs:

Unpaid Work / Looking for 2-bit Environmental artist
« on: November 13, 2018, 08:41:17 pm »
Hi, Iamboaring (Get it)

I have been working on a 2d side-scrolling metroidvania idea for over a year. It is a story of a kid that falls asleep and is trapped in a nightmare maze in his mind.

Like any metroidvania, you must explore the world. Get equipment, find new elemental powers, unlock locations and destroy bosses and their minions to find your way out (wake up).

I use the 2 bit game boy pocket palette with brown flesh tone and primary colors for the 3 elemental powers (Fire, Water and Flowered) so the environment and enemies can be analyzed before you engage.

I have animated most if not all of the player animations but I am not very good with level design at all. I need to collaborate with someone that wants to work with me and design it (finding a programmer and composer is next). Time is not a factor, quality is everything but there is no payment until the game is released (not even for me).

If you need reference images this is my tumblr page:

Thanks for reading. Hope to hear from you soon.

Unpaid Work / Starting a game Dev Team
« on: July 12, 2018, 07:50:24 pm »
Hello all IamBoaring, the pixel artist. I use Aesprite for my pixel art and am currently learning Magicavoxel for the 3d ideas I have. My style is minimalistic. I enjoy using limited color palettes with small be expressive animations.

I would like to find a programmer and a composer that would like to work with me on ideas we come up with. We could enter some gamejams and maybe turn our ideas into full games.

A small team is ideal;1 person per category would be great (Personally, I don’t like anyone's help with the artwork although your input is welcome). I want to work with people that respect the other teammates ideas and be considerate of each other’s time restraints and work styles.

Making money is the goal but not the main reason to start game development. I want to make quality content that is visually and audibly appealing telling a story that the player controls and feel comfortably playing over and over, time and time again.

If you want to work with me or know someone that might, email me at:

iamboaring027@gmail.com

Looking forward to hearing from you.
