Pixel Art / Wolfenstein sprites
« on: July 13, 2008, 05:17:00 am »
Hi all,

Haven't been pixelling much recently. I've started some sprites for a wolfenstein type game. Its still WIP. I'd like crits on the pallete because I wanted a second opinion before I get too far.

Pixel Art / Portraits - scientist and robot
« on: December 04, 2007, 09:37:55 pm »
I'm making a TDS and these are two portraits for it.They will be used when a character talks and will be surrounded by a metal looking border. Any crits would be appreciated at this stage because i want to use the same pallete for portaits as game graphics. Also, is plain color background okay or is something else better?

The one on the left is hero - he is a scientist in the Arctic in the future. The one on the right is a robot. It has claw like fingers.

Pixel Art / rpg type sprites - match style
« on: November 23, 2007, 11:37:48 am »

The first two images are not mine. It relates to a RPG project in PAID section. Even though I'm too late for the job, I wanted to do some sprites as practice. I also wanted to try to match someone else's style, since that is what is necessary if you work on a big project. I didn't match in the end that well, I want to do it my way too much i think. But crit away please tell me how to improve them. I wanted to break away from using black outlines everywhere, do u think the current outline system works?

They are Mono-Cyclops, Hooker and Pirat.

is supossed to be a man.

General Discussion / Can your parents draw and how is your eyesight?
« on: December 21, 2006, 11:35:46 am »
Hi, I was interested to know was there a link between having parents (or one parent) who can draw reasonably well and being able to draw well yourself
(everyone here seems pretty good at drawing). I was also interested how many of us have some sort of eye problems (such as needing
glasses or contact lenses). I'm thinking that most of us will have a parent who can draw reasonably well and some sort of eyesight difficulty. Plz vote.

Pixel Art / Coloring pirate

Hi guys,

If you look in the employement section there is a job about making items of clothes for an rpg site. I took the base from that an
made a pirate out of it. Since I am not going to apply for the job I thought I'd show it and get some feedback. I wanted feedback
on the coloring mostly.

I think it was alot of fun making it so maybe it could be made into a competition (everyone makes a different character out of the same

Pixel Art / bozo the clown

Here's something I did while waiting for something. I'm annoyed with the outline everything in black way of doing graphics.
So I'm using less black outlines in this piece.

What do you guys think about the picture? The dog head is a bit offensive i know ....
