Portfolios / [Portfolio] Tim Reedy - Pixel Art/Animation
« on: July 01, 2016, 06:58:46 pm »
Hey Pixelation! My name is Tim, for the past 5 years or so I've worked as a successful latte artist (steamfist.tumblr.com) but I've grown very, very tired of the food service industry and need to take a break from it for health and personal reasons- in the meantime I have decided to try my hand at another passion of mine; pixel art and animation. I've been in love with video games for as long as I can remember, I grew up playing collect-a-thon platformers and RPGs but have since grown to enjoy all types of games and I think I'm finally ready to start working on some myself. So far most of my focus has been on spritework but I've been working my way into tileset and asset creation bit by bit. I don't have a terribly extensive portfolio just yet but I'm trying new things every day to improve my skillset and hopefully find enough work to get a foot into the industry. I'm fairly quick, extremely dedicated, and take consistent communication and criticism very seriously. I'll be updating this post over time with new work as I go but here are some examples of what I've done so far:
 Singles/Small Sprites

8x8

16x16

Animated

Dailies/Misc

Mockup

If you'd like to work together on something you can reach me @DekuBub on twitter - email ( tim.o.reedy@gmail.com ) and PM are fine as well. Thank you for taking the time to check out my work and have a wonderful day :)

Pixel Art / [C+C] Link Sprite
« on: June 08, 2016, 03:48:00 pm »

Hi Pixelation! :)
I'm about a month into learning pixel art and I just found this wonderful site! This here's a little sprite of Link in his WiiU/NX duds I put together for Pixel Dailies recently, I've been working on improving my color selection and hue shifting this week but I think I still have a long ways to go.  Any tips on what I can pay better attention to on my next piece?
