Unpaid Work / SNES Inspired Top Down RPG Needs A Pixel Artist
« on: June 03, 2021, 12:42:43 pm »
Looking For: 2D Top Down Pixel Artist (SNES style like Chrono Trigger/Secret of Mana)

MyTalent:
I am currently writing out the rest of the story but definitely could use another perspective. I am also a graphic designer.

Project:
This will be a loveletter to SNES fans! It's an Action-RPG in the style of 16bits. The Kingdom of Lockefall has been taken over by dark forces. The magic scepter that kept the dark forces at bay was broken by the evil lord. The pieces shattered across the land, guarded by the lord's minions. The king was taken and his advisor went into hiding. He sends out letters to surrounding kingdoms asking for help. 7 unlikely heroes answer the call. They set out on an adventure across the kingdom to find the pieces of the scepter, piece it back together and save the Kingdom, meeting all kinds of friends and foes in the process.

I already have most of the story complete but would like an awesome pixel artist to bring my characters to life!

Length of Project: Unknown at this time but long

Split %: To be discussed

Studio Name: Pixel Dojo Studios
Project Name: Legends of Lockefall
Roles Required: MAINLY Pixel Artist (preferably in the style of Chrono Trigger/Secret of Mana for SNES),
Programmer, Writer (have most of the story and dialogue written out but still needs to be looked over and tweaked), Composer eventually but probably not right now, and lastly someone to help kickstart it and get the demo out there.
Project Length: Not really sure but this could be considered a big game maybe?
Description: A Fantasy Action RPG inspired by SNES and will be a mixture of A Link to the Past and Pokemon. Open World format. Top down view like Chrono/Mana/Zelda. Once in a peaceful kingdom, Lockefall is threatened by an unimaginable dark evil. Seven unlikely heroes are the only ones who can find the Scepter of Light and restore order to the land. In a Super NES inspired action rpg comes an epic tale that will turn those heroes into...Legends of Lockefall! The hero you choose will travel around the land from dungeon to dungeon, defeating creatures and bosses to collect the scepter shards in order to piece it back together. After it is reassembled, they must go on to face the dark Lord Volrupt to save the King and take back the Kingdom. They must adapt to each boss they fight in the dungeons throughout the kingdom.
Combat will be action-rpg hack and slash and there will be elemental weapons/items and enemy weaknesses (Pokemon style).
Compensation: Rev-Share, if the kickstarter gets funded. I am a huge SNES gamer and I am really excited to make this game. It could turn out to be a really awesome adventure. If you are curious and want to know more about it please feel free to message me or respond here. I have a facebook page but not much info is on it yet.

I am working on a board game that I would like to eventually get a Kickstarter going for. I would love some help with this in any way. I have my characters and mechanics and all of that. I may need help with the map (i do have a blueprint for how i want the map). And I will definitely need help with the kickstarter itself, I don't really know how it works exactly. If a board game is too difficult I am prepared to turn this into an action rpg (zelda style) top-down video game. Here is a link to my facebook page for it. There isn't much on it right now but if you are interested in helping, please PM me and we can discuss more about this project. This is unpaid work and only PM me if you are ok with that. I know this is a long shot asking for free help but I figured I would try anyway. Of course if it gets published/made, there will be profit for all involved.

Unpaid Work / Seeking 16bit RPG Pixel Artist for my Board Game
« on: July 12, 2016, 03:41:55 am »
I am currently working on an RPG Boardgame using Pixel Art and would like to find someone with experience in SNES 16bit RPG Graphics. I pretty much have everything done except the art. I have a list of characters/NPCs/enemies/bosses that I would like created. For now I want to focus mostly on the Bosses. My goal is to make this into a kickstarter once it is complete and I have playtested it several times. I can't pay much but I still can pay if it is preferred. I am looking for serious artists that want to help me make a fun and hopefully different type of board game! Please let me know if you are interested!

To give an idea of what I am doing here are my 2 custom Legend of Zelda boardgames i created a few years ago. They were greatly received by the Zelda fanverse and many others.

I am currently working on an RPG Boardgame using Pixel Art and would like to find someone with experience in SNES 16bit RPG Graphics. I have a ton of ideas for it but unfortunately I just can not create my own pixel art no matter how hard I've tried. I'll stick to Graphic Design. Anyway, if you are interested please either PM me or post your portfolio or a link to it and we will discuss further. I'm really not sure how big or small you would consider this project so if you PM me we can talk about it better.

To give an idea of what I am doing here are my 2 custom Legend of Zelda boardgames i created a few years ago. They were greatly received by the Zelda fanverse and many others. I could even give you the files to this if you are also a zelda fan as a bonus "payment".
