Well I was working on this for quite a while and I'm not really done with it but I guess I reached the point of asking for other opinions here.

Pixel Art / Potato?
« on: March 27, 2016, 06:03:47 pm »
Well I started drawing potatoes a month ago or so and I just don't get them to work.
Any feedback is appreciated. Did I improve? Are some of these readable?
Do they looks potato-ish?

Pixel Art / [C+C]Pre Preparation(I guess?)
« on: February 28, 2016, 04:51:12 pm »
Well I was working on my MiniLD entry and I realised how hard it is to make usable images within little time.
I had my hardest time designing a character without reference and I'm not too happy , so I would be happy about any critic.

Thanks

(Note that I can't really tell the brightness of the image as I worked on 2 different monitors and I'm kinda confused lol
So please tell me if this is too bright.)

Pixel Art / How to shade fur?
« on: February 03, 2016, 01:06:11 am »
Well I'm really no good at shading hair haha

Well I was trying to pixel something as I haven't in a while and while doing so I came to realise that it looks completely unfinished if I don't shade it.
And as I have no clue about material shading in general I though it would be something worth asking. (Although I tried as you can see on my pathetic fur shading try)
Note that this means that this isn't finished in any way and I'm well aware of some issues with copying my reference. (But as it's late I though why not post it and after some feedback work on it. Given that someone gives feedback lol)

So I would be happy if someone takes their time to tell me how I should do this. Of course every other critic is appreciated as well ^^

Pixel Art / I'm really bad at drawing hair
« on: December 31, 2015, 07:07:19 am »
Well I tried to do something with a reference but I kinda failed.
My anatomy is completely wrong and my image isn't really matching the reference but I think these problems might get fixed by repeating pixeling with other references haha :D

But then I tried to make the hair and I had absolutely no clue.
I just made something. I'm not sure if I'm able to figure this on out by myself. So I would appreciate if someone could tell me how hair shading works ? o.O
(of course every kind of critic is welcome!)

Well I'm kinda preparing for Ludum Dare 34 and as I'm not allowed to use the art I make before the event , I'm going to practice the style I chose for my LD Game.

(I don't really like my white tones)

Well any kind of critic is appreciated!

Pixel Art / Person drawing practise
« on: August 19, 2015, 10:01:19 pm »
I tried to learn how to draw a person so I tried to make a little sketch.
I can't believe how much time I spend in making something so simple O:
But I would like not to start this completely wrong  so I would love to hear how to improve it!

« on: August 01, 2015, 02:42:49 am »
Hello to everyone reading this:
This is my first post and I wanted to show a few of my
pixel images which are designed for a game I am working on.
I am quite satisfied with them so I won't update them
but I would like some criticism so my future artworks
won't look so bad  :)

My game tiles

A tree I worked on long

The main character moving animation

A random picture I would like to improve

Screenshot of the game so you can see the textures working together
